Was Tuesday’s special election in Alabama rigged against Republican Roy Moore?
Speculation ran rampant early Wednesday after conservative radio host Bill Mitchell called for an investigation into “voter surges” that helped put Doug Jones over-the-top in the election for Attorney General Jeff Session’s Senate seat.
Mitchell claims the wild shifts in voting, coming so late in the election count, “simply defies explanation” — unless there was voter fraud.
Ok guys, strangest election I've ever seen. Roy Moore had leads of 12 and 8 points wiped out almost instantly. Huge chucks of uncontested votes coming in for Jones as he outvoted Moore by 70,000 votes in the final 35%. Very sketchy action in a red state.

I cannot recall ever seeing a deep red state election where the Republican candidate lost a 56,000 vote lead to a Democrat with 65% already counted. It simply defies explanation.

He also called the massive Democratic turnout suspicious, and pointed out how rare it is for Democratic voters to come out in such large numbers during midterm and special elections —

Was there early voting in AL for this race or did Democrats turn out 92% of their 2016 total all on one day? If so, why werent we hearing about massive crowds and lines?

Could widespread voter fraud in Alabama have catapulted Jones — and not Moore — into the state’s senatorial seat?
Moore has refused to concede the race. “When the vote is this close, it’s not over,” Moore said after Jones’ victory speech Tuesday night. Election counts put Moore at 48.4 percent of votes, to 49.9 percent for Jones, and the mainstream media quickly called the race for Jones. Despite the razor thin 1.5 percent difference, even President Donald Trump acknowledged the Democrat’s victory.
But Moore’s campaign hasn’t capitulated. “We have to wait on God and let this process play out,” Moore said.
Other conservatives turned their anger towards Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and establishment Republicans, who failed to support Moore’s senatorial campaign following accusations by The Washington Post of sexual misconduct just weeks before the election.
Moore and his supporters called the allegations false and continuously denied them.
Still, establishment Republicans were swayed by The Post’s reporting and refused to back Moore — and now Moore voters are very, very angry.
