In a rousing speech to a massive crowd in Poland on Thursday, President Donald Trump issued a call-to-arms to defend the Western world from “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Trump also saluted Polish sacrifice and restated the United States’ commitment to NATO and Christian values, telling his audience: “The people of Poland, the people of America, and the people of Europe still cry out: ‘We want God!'”

“Just as Poland cannot be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken,” Trump said. “Our values will prevail, our people will thrive, and our civilization will triumph.”

Polish supporters cheered wildly and frequently chanted “U-S-A!” and “Donald Trump!” during the American president’s stirring address, where he promised: “We are fighting hard against radical Islamic terrorism — and we will prevail!”

The speech represented a huge departure for the United States from what critics called former President Barack Obama’s globalist agenda.

Obama was heavily criticized for his refusal to use the term, ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ and his unwillingness to publicly defend Western values while in office.

Trump laid out what was on the line for both the United States and our allies in the Western world, saying: “We write symphonies, we pursue innovation. … We reward brilliance. We strive for excellence, and cherish inspiring works of art that honor God.”

“We treasure the rule of law and protect the right to free speech and free expression. … We debate everything, we challenge everything, we seek to know everything so that we can better know ourselves,” Trump said.

Trump also saluted Poland for being one of the United States’ few allies to meet their own defense obligations to NATO, calling their commitment to the alliance “a benchmark for investment.”

“My administration has demanded that all members of NATO finally meet their full and fair financial obligation — and as a result of insistence, billions of dollars have begun to pour into NATO,” Trump said to cheers.
