She was a promising medical student with her whole life ahead of her. But thanks to German Chancelor Angela Merkel’s insane open-door immigration policy, her family says she was raped, murdered and her body discarded in a river… all at the hands of an Afghan migrant.
German prosecutors have charged the refugee, identified only as Hussein K. due to German privacy laws, with the murder and rape of 19-year-old medical student named Maria Ladenburger, who had worked part-time as a volunteer at a local migrant shelter.
Maria, 19, worked in her spare time in the ancient university city of Freiburg helping out the migrants in various shelters and homes. But in October, as she cycled home after a party, she was ambushed, raped and then drowned in a river,” The Daily Mail reported.
The suspect was linked to the crime through DNA evidence and video footage from near the scene, authorities say.
The suspect arrived in Germany in 2015 without identity papers.
He told authorities he was 17 and came from Afghanistan, but two studies commissioned by prosecutors indicated he was at least 22 at the time of the crime.
News agency dpa reported that prosecutors in Freiburg said Thursday the suspect was indicted under juvenile law.
