Busted! NYT reporter caught LYING about Melania

The mainstream media loves to accuse President Donald Trump of being a sexist.

But when a reporter from The New York Times is busted spreading nasty lies about First Lady Melania Trump being “a hooker”, the corporate media is suddenly very quiet.

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberalism.

A The New York Times reporter was caught trying to impress a supermodel at a party Sunday by spreading a false rumor about Melania’s past, according to Politico.

Fortunately, the model, Emily Ratajkowski, was having none of it — and publicly called out the media’s sexist hypocrisy on Twitter. She stood up for women’s rights, and slammed the paper’s reporter for his “disgusting sexist” behavior.

Sat next to a journalist from the NYT last night who told me "Melania is a hooker." Whatever your politics it's crucial to call this out for

what it is: slut shaming. I don't care about her nudes or sexual history and no one should.

Gender specific attacks are disgusting sexist bullshit.

When asked for comment, The Times refused to name the reporter in question, but said he was reprimanded for spreading the nasty rumor.

“At a party last night, a Times reporter … referred to an unfounded rumor regarding Melania Trump,” a spokesperson for the mainstream paper told Politico. “The comment was not intended to be public, but it was nonetheless completely inappropriate and should not have occurred. Editors have talked to the reporter in question about the lapse.”

This isn’t the first time the media has been caught spreading these nasty rumors, of course. The first lady is currently involved in a libel lawsuit against The Daily Mail for allegedly spreading false stories that she worked as an escort before meeting the president, and has sought $150 million in damages. Melania has already reached a substantial settlement with a Maryland blogger in a similar suit over the rumors.

“I posted an article on August 2, 2016 about Melania Trump that was replete with false and defamatory statements about her,” Webster Tarpley, the 71-year-old blogger, said in a statement following the conclusion of the lawsuit. Both Tarpley and The Daily Mail have issued retractions.

The first lady responded to The Times reporter’s rumor spreading Monday by taking the high road. She tagged Emily in a tweet complimenting her bravery, and called for respect for all women.

Applause to all women around the world who speak up, stand up and support other women! @emrata #PowerOfEveryWoman #PowerOfTheFirstLady

Well said.
