Hillary pal SLAMMED for “slap in the face” comment

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a close political ally of both the Clintons, made such a startling statement to CNN Sunday on illegal immigrants it caused Mother’s Against Drunk Driving to call it a “slap in the face.”

The organization was furious after de Blasio equated illegal immigration to drunk driving, a “minor offense” as long as no one was killed.

DeBlasio had appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” to defend his city’s so-called sanctuary status, and said that he did not want to “see families torn apart.”

When confronted over whether New York would deport an illegal immigrant for “very minor” crimes like grand larceny and drunk driving, de Blasio quickly stuck his foot in his mouth — no, he said, they’d be allowed to stay for “minor” offenses.

“Drunk driving that doesn’t lead to any other negative outcome, I could define as that,” de Blasio said.

One must wonder if de Blasio’s comments would be different if someone he knew and loved was killed by one of these “minor” offenders?

The MAAD New York State Director Richard Mallow released a statement Tuesday blasting de Blasio for the “slap in the face to victims.”

Nothing minor when drunk driving kills or injures 300,000 people every year. That is a slap in the face to victims. @NYCMayor

This isn’t the first major controversy to come from this Clinton pal’s shady behavior, of course.

de Blasio has been linked to so many corruption investigations throughout his tenure as New York’s mayor, even Hillary was afraid to touch him during the Democratic primary.
