Let’s cut through the media spin and say it right away.
America is going to build the wall. Mexico is going to pay for it. And President-elect Donald Trump insists that the media is lying if they say otherwise.
Trump tweeted Friday that, in the interest of time, America will start building the border wall soon — and that Mexico will reimburse American taxpayers. U.S. money spent will be for the “sake of speed.”
The dishonest media does not report that any money spent on building the Great Wall (for sake of speed), will be paid back by Mexico later!

His tweet came as the mainstream media attacked the plan be considered to ask Congress to ensure money is available in U.S. coffers for the wall, but to rely on existing law that already authorizes fencing and other technology along the southern border.
The potential approach was confirmed Thursday by two congressional officials and a senior transition official with knowledge of the discussions; all spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
During his campaign, Trump repeatedly told voters if elected he would build a wall along the U.S. southern border and make Mexico pay for it — and all reports indicate he’s doing everything he can to make good on that vow.
Trump transition spokesman Sean Spicer said putting U.S. money up-front “doesn’t mean he’s broken his promise.” In an interview Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Spicer said: “I think he’s going to continue to talk to them (the Mexican government) about that.”
Trump’s approach could also bypass potential resistance from establishment insiders, if the president-elect were to ask Congress to pass a measure authorizing the kind of border wall he promised during the campaign.
Several lawmakers and congressional officials said the administration could have significant flexibility in taking additional steps without Congress’ approval.
“There’s a lot of things that can be done within current law,” said Florida Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, a longtime proponent of comprehensive immigration reform. “You cannot minimize the potential impact of the administration doing what they can do under the law,” he said.
However, some immigration hard-liners have already expressed the desire to see Congress take a vote, given how prominent the wall was during Trump’s presidential campaign, and their desire to act on the issue.
Trump’s vow to build an impenetrable, concrete wall along the southern border was his signature campaign proposal. “Build the wall!” supporters would chant at his rallies. “Who’s going to pay for it?” Trump would ask them. “Mexico!” Trump often promised the wall would be built of hardened concrete, rebar and steel as tall as his venues’ ceilings, and would feature a “big, beautiful door” to allow legal immigrants to enter.

Walls have always been for the protection of the people !!! And walls that have barbed wire on them usually keep criminals away from the law abiding people !!! And as this border wall will have gateways at safe entry points it will not stop a person from leaving the USA nor will it deter those who follow the law from entering the USA but for those who refuse to follow the laws are Sol !!! And historically all wall are to prevent unwanted visiters !! Just look at the great wall of China !! It was built to keep aga Khan out !!!
I wonder about Canada. Shouldnt a wall be built there as well? I know alot of criminals sneak in after committing crimes. And there are plenty of Muslims who work their way over with all different tools, one being truck driving. I have seen many open entry ways in and out of Canada. I myself am a truck driver, so i know this to be true.

Considering Mr. Trump’s success in keeping countries from moving to Mexico I have no problem believing he will build the wall and Mexico will pay for it. He can make Mexico pay for it by allowing some gates to be installed in the wall so Mexican goods can cross the border into the United States. In other words, the Mexican government may wind up paying for the gates and get the wall for free.
I would like to see this done using existing immigration laws as much as possible. This whole illegal immigration debate of the Obama years ignored the fact that we already have plenty of laws. Our problem for the past eight years is we had a president who failed to uphold the law.
Simple and expeditious solution: Immediately cut off ALL welfare, healthcare, educational and food stamp benefits to ANYONE who cannot PROVE CITIZENSHIP, and charge them a nominal fee to repatriate to their countries-of-origin as they pass through the soon-to-be “Golden Gates” in the new Great Wall on OUR southern border! There will be so many scurrying to go back voluntarily to suck off the tit of their respective homelands, …problem solved…and paid for!
Maybe they can each carry either a “DESPOTCRAP” or “UNTIED Nations” (or one-each) under each armpit, and even more problems solved concurrently!

The wall won’t stop those illegal aliens (Yes, I used the CORRECT term for them, not the politically correct term) who overstay their visas, but is the physical embodiment of the new immigration policy. It sends a powerful message so for that reason alone it should be built.

I believe the wall will be paid for not so much by the US, but by the Mexican drug cartels – I think either Trump or Alex Jones mentioned it. Also, there were plans to stop all money transfers to Mexico — something that illegals do: they come here for work and support their families in Mexico. Once their money can’t be transferred, there’s no more point of them staying here if they can’t send the money, so they will return to Mexico on their own….
When Trump builds the wall, perhaps one thing to consider is to have border control offices established as part of the wall so agents can be located within the wall or as part of the wall. These could be located at critical points so that enforcement could be rapid. Offices could be added in the future as needs occur.
You’re right. The border/wall will be patrolled not only by people, but with the deployment of drones, so it will be VERY secure and the border patrol agents will once again be given their presently revoked rights to detain the illegals, so I believe we’ll be looking at a completely new and improved way of protecting our sovereignty.
