At least five people have been killed as severe storms moved across the Southeast, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.
The line of severe thunderstorms spawned several possible tornadoes, and the threat continued into Tuesday moring for southern Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.

Four people were killed Monday evening when a tree fell on their mobile home in Rehobeth, Alabama, said Kris Ware, a spokeswoman for the Dothan Houston County Emergency Management Agency.
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley said in a statement on social media that the Houston County sheriff had told him about the deaths and he offered “prayers for those impacted.”
In Florida, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that 70-year-old William Patrick Corley’s body was found Monday afternoon following flooding near the Shoal River in Mossy Head. Authorities said Corley’s car was partially submerged and his body was floating face-down nearby.
The sheriff’s office said Corley’s death remained under investigation, but no foul play was suspected.

State emergency officials reported no injuries or deaths in Louisiana and Mississippi, but a trip to Walmart was memorable for some shoppers in Marksville, Louisiana, as severe weather blew out skylights in the store, sending water and glass cascading onto shoppers.
Marksville Fire Chief Jerry Bordelon said a fireworks stand in the Walmart parking lot was tossed 30 or 40 yards and mangled. The storm also knocked over 18-wheel truck trailers and punched holes in the store’s roof. The fire department ordered shoppers to leave the store, but some didn’t want to leave even as managers closed it.
“Believe it or not, we had some people in there who were still trying to shop,” Bordelon said.
Walmart spokeswoman Erica Jones said the Arkansas-based company hopes to reopen the store Tuesday, but wasn’t sure that will happen, citing needed repairs to a natural gas line.

Storms in central Mississippi near Mendenhall and Mount Olive were preliminarily identified as tornadoes by the National Weather Service, based in part on radar signatures. Both storms damaged farm buildings and homes. Other possible tornadoes will be surveyed later.
In Louisiana, there was also relatively serious damage in the southwestern parishes of Beauregard and Allen, including the town of Reeves. Some wind damage was also reported in Houston and throughout East Texas. Though Arkansas had also been included in warnings, there was only a stray report of hail in Jackson County in the northeast part of the state.
Tens of thousands lost power in Louisiana and Mississippi at the height of the storm, according to utilities.
Freddie Zeigler, a meteorologist in the Weather Service’s New Orleans office, said heavy winds were preceding the squall line, possibly contributing to power outages.

It was the second episode of heavy rain within days for some areas. An area stretching from Biloxi, Mississippi, through Alabama and across Macon and Augusta, Georgia, received more than 4 inches of rain Monday, according to radar estimates. Parts of southern Mississippi and southwest Alabama have received more than 8 inches of rain since Saturday. Though rivers along the Gulf Coast were rising rapidly Monday, only minor flooding was predicted.

Still don’t admit that the climate is changing????
the climate is always changing.when i was a kid in the 40s it was bitter cold and snow for ever. we had hurricans in the 50s and 70s, blizzards in the 60s and 90s, heat in the 90s cold in mid 2000. the question is why. one of the major answers is the sun and solar flare activity. its not “P” CORRECT to mention the truth so forget you read it here. GREENHOUSE GAS—OUR FAULT. easier to believe. just for the “L” of it go to google and check out how many volcanos are blasting away on the picific rim on any given minute. yes i said minute. do you really think mankind can match that sulphur output in that period of time? or the rest of what is in an eruption. welcome to the truth——– 44jon
You’re RIGHT, Jo
n!
Oh come on. The one thing that is proven is CO2 makes plants grow & split off oxygen which sustains life.
Climate has been changing naturally for eons……When I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s in the land of 10,000 lakes the winters lasted all winter. Now, Minnesota, like it is here in Missouri, the snows come occasionally and then melt to bare ground in a few days. Strangely, the glaciers which produced the 10,000 lakes had receded a while before I became a resident in their wake. There are still glaciers in northern Montana, however, and yes, they are still receding.
The climate is changing and our entire solar system is heating up, but this was talked about on the YouTube channel BPEarthWatch down to the day, I suggest you check it out unless you insist on believing that humans on earth are the cause for the entire solar system heating up which sounds pretty stupid.
It may be changing, but it is not getting warmer, it is getting COLDER!!! I remember when it used to be hot and humid here at this time of the yr.
the north and south poles are moving that is what is happening to our weather instead of glaciers like the scienetist say the poles was somewhere around New York at one time and the equitar was farther south that is my opinion it has already been proven that the magenett field has reversed at times that is because the poles move and what is happening now thanks
Well the sun and the moon control most of our weather and I don’t see any weather change in Texas so I’m not sure what polls moved where? I am sure Man did not have anything to do with it. Also what you don’t understand is they are using the climate change to say we need a whole bunch of dictators ruling the planet. People don’t have anything against helping their environment. they are against people the need to have totalitarian kings to make sure that this happens. You see where the US owes trillions of dollars in debt and the World Bank wants us to give lots of money to be part of the climate change so that they can pay the kings when everything else changes. I mean do you really think that Hillary and Obama really want climate change they’re doing wartime in iraq and Iran pretty sure that changed the climate they don’t have any trees or anything because there’s so much war going on so do you really think they want that? No, it’s just a scheme because if we agree the US will get all this money and send it for climate change and then UN people will take over.with mass destruction of our vegetation and food supply. Look this up!
Well hot water does tend to heat up the atmosphere. Isn’t funny that the last series of Hydrogen Bomb tested at the Bikini Atoll was in ’58 or ’59, most of them were tested underwater. The oceans are huge, but if you concentrate enough energy in one spot you can get a really big pot of coffee water to move around. Think for yourselves, look it up, ask. how much heat is transferred to the water in an underwater explosion and how long would it take for currents to heat up the southern regions of this our home.
Then as well how much CO2 was in the atmosphere during the last ice?
“Climate change” is as a direct result of the natural variations in the source of our energy located a mere 93 million or so miles away. There have been MAJOR climatic changes throughout recent recorded history which can easily be explained by solar variances and other NATURAL occurrences. To believe that actions by a human population is the cause is to be highly arrogant and also scientifically ignorant and fraudulent.
It’s like saying that when a butterfly farts in Jakarta, the result is a hurricane in the Caribbean – nonsense! “Global warming” or whatever you wish to call it (for today) is an economic conspiracy to shift wealth from the 1st world to elsewhere. Don’t fall for it! Climate has changed and evolved naturally for all of history, and nothing we puny humans do will have more than a tiny effect on the natural process. We should simply accept the facts and adjust our way of life to compensate and survive as a species . . . . or not!
The poles don’t move neither does the equator. What really is happening, believe it or not, the devil (Satan) is
making more havoc to happen to cause fear. Fear .. thinking it is God who is causing all these things to happen, so you don’t look to Him for help. Satan knows his time is almost up, for him to cause as much destruction as possible. The more you rely on him, the more he likes it. He will cause even more destruction on the earth.
But if you put your trust in God, He will take care of you. Depend on God for all things, because He Loves you that He already gave His life for you on Calvary. But you must Faith in God and Believe that He will take care of you. Have Faith He can and Believe He will.
I pray for all the people that have been touched by this destruction caused by Satan.
Of course the climate is changing – it is nature. I will start to believe it is all due to human activities, when scientists stop pushing an agenda and include volcanic plus undersea vent activities in their global warming assesments, not to mention solar flares, wobble of the planetary system, etc, etc.

The only thing GREEN about so-called greeenhouse-gas is the money that is stolen aka “redistribution of wealth” based on the “climate change” lies.
