The sun is rising on America again, thanks to President-elect Donald Trump. Even former Trump adversaries are waking up to the good news — and liberals are furious Trump is winning support by reaching across the isle.
For example, Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown recently met with Trump and Pastor Darrell Scott to discuss the African-American and inner city communities in America– and the former supporter of former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is now heaping praise on the president-elect.
“I can’t speak for the pastor, but I fell in love with him, because he really talks about helping African-American, black people and, uh, that’s why I’m here,” Brown said during a surprising CNN interview. Scott replied, “”Well, I fell in love with Trump a long time ago.”
CNN then tried to steer Brown to imply Trump was racist — which he shut down immediately.

Billionaire and tech giant Bill Gates also met with Trump recently, and left singing his praises about the forward technology thinking Trump would push.
“I had an opportunity to talk to him about innovation. You know, a lot of his message has been about… where he sees things not as good as he’d like,” Gates said. “But in the same way President Kennedy talked about the space mission and got the country behind that, I think whether it’s education or stopping epidemics… [or] in this energy space, there can be a very upbeat message that [Trump’s] administration’s going to organize things, get rid of regulatory barriers, and have American leadership through innovation.”
In fact, even moderate Democrats are starting to break party lines — and liberals are scrambling to hold them down.
Senate Democrats are in panic mode and “recently launched a ‘full court press’ to retain Sens. Joe Manchin, of West Virginia, and Heidi Heitkamp, of North Dakota, after each met with Republican President-elect Donald Trump,” Fox News reported a source inside the Senate said.
Trump is recruiting Heitkamp for the position of Agricultural Secretary, and “If Heitkamp left, her seat could remain empty for months, meaning Democrats would have one less vote to stop any of Trump’s first-100-day initiatives, which could including getting a Supreme Court nominee confirmed in the Senate or passing a tax overhaul.”

I think that Pence had the most to do with the Carrier deal, and he functioned as the Governor of Indiana, which he still is. He used tax incentives and their promise to use Carrier products for Indiana government contracts that are upcoming, which is the type of things that all states do in order to attract and retain companies in their states. I don’t know if Trump promised anything or not. The big thing, I think, is that Trump is going to try to reduce all taxes substantially, and in particular, the corporate tax rate from 37% to 15%, which is a big deal. His plan to force companies that move out of the country in order to make products to import back into the country I think is also a big deal. So far, I’m with him all the way. I hope he scraps NAFTA altogether.
It really doesn’t matter how Trump got Carrier to stay. He has Japan committing 50billion to new business growth in the US, Ford staying in KY, Corporations relocating to Michigan and many other commitments. He is not a pushover like Obama. His plan to cut corporate tax rates to 15% and remove the restraints of over-regulation is and will continue to cause companies to stay in the US and expand!
Mr. Devido, we all will have to wait and see what comes about AFTER the inauguration. I will say this, though. I am pleased as can be with what he has done so far. I’m happy with what he has told us that he has plans to do. Many of those plans are exactly what we said we wanted. He has chosen the cream of the crop for his cabinet and key positions. He’s already worked very hard so as to hit the ground running.
Yes, Mr. Trump is a rich business man. He is giving up all of that money he could be making running his businesses in order to work his tail off to save America from going completely down the tube. He could be living the life of luxury instead of dealing with all of the headaches and heartache of righting our sinking ship of a country. That speaks volumes to me as to his motives for seeking the Presidency. He had plenty of power before. He didn’t need this job.
Please remember that he won’t be a king or a dictator, but a President. He must work with Congress to get things done. There are still Republicans in the legislative branch who believe and vote like they are Democrats.
I feel confident that once our new President Trump is actually in office, we will be amazed and thrilled by the positive changes as we move our country in the right direction. I believe that even our fellow citizens who have disagreed with us will come to the point where they are with us instead of against us. I keep praying for them all. There is a lot of work to do, but he has a good running start already. It all won’t happen immediately, but I have no doubt that he and his team will work diligently to get things done ASAP. Prayer, patience and hard work is required for all of us. Our job is to keep watch to ensure that our government is doing what they are supposed to be doing. We’ve been lax in doing our duty and allowed things to get so bad. That must change.
We have a bright future as we work together to strengthen our nation and garner the respect of the world again. I pray for our current leaders to do the right thing, for once. I first started paying attention to Donald J Trump when he came out with the statement that John McCain was no military hero. 40 years ago, I would have taken issue with that statement. However, in the intervening years John McCain has had more than an ample opportunity to do great things for his fellow veterans. Yet, to my knowledge he has done nothing. Nothing at all. I have been in a ten year battle with the VA to receive compensation for an in service disability. I get nothing from the VA but the beauracratic run-a-round. Where was John McCain over the past 40 years. He surely was not helping me, a fellow veteran. He was too busy in passing legislation that lined his own pockets. Sorry, John McCain, you are no hero to me either. Go Donald J Trump, go and fix the VA to the point that I can receive the compensation that I so rightfully earned. Maybe I will get a few checks before I die.

As is always, the DemocRats are in total denial as to why they really lost this election. Just like why they lost the Senate in 2014 and the House in 2010. Obama and the liberal left elites in the DemocRat party had their policies and actions repudiated each time. Have they learned anything? Apparently not. They retreat to denial and search with their delusions for someone else, something else, besides themselves and their failed policies for losing.
Now I am not one to hope they make the necessary changes they should do if they don’t wish to end up a minority party of only bi-coastal voter base. But by getting the idea they lost because they didn’t go far enough left and planning to do just that, is going to take them to being a minority party of only bi-coastal consistent support.
But if that is exactly what they intend to do… then by all means, do proceed. As this leaves a wider swath for the Republican party to work with in future elections. Now I am curious just how much further left they will need to go before someone like Senator Joe Manchin (D) W.V. comes to the same conclusion that former Senator Lieberman (D) R.I. (who went independent) and former Senator Sam Nunn (D) GA. who retired from politics saying “I don’t even recognize the Democrat party anymore”.
