Trump has famously called for a wall along the US border with Mexico to help stem the tide of illegal immigration, and it has caused critics to fume with anger. But we have three reasons that PROVE it needs to be built.

Leaked FBI data obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed Monday that there were 7,712 terrorist encounters in the US – in just the past year! Between July 2015 and July 2016, the majority of terrorist encounters (interactions with known or suspected terror watch list suspects by law enforcement) unsurprisingly occurred in border states, with Texas, California, and Arizona ranking among the highest.
The leaked information from the Terrorist Screening Center, the group behind terrorist watch lists, reveals that majority of the encounters in Arizona were with Islamic terrorists.
This information makes it clear that terrorists are making their way into our country through Mexico, and the current administration isn’t doing anything about it! - Board patrol agents back Trump’s plan
The government organization that knows more about immigration policies than any other entity asked for the wall when they endorsed Donald Trump for president. The National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council (ICE) announced their support for Trump on Monday, marking the first time the group has endorsed a presidential candidate – ever.
The statement released by the president of the council, Chris Crane, revealed the 5,000 officers within the organization, “come into contact with many of the most dangerous people in the world – cartel members, gang members, weapons traffickers, murder suspects, drug dealers, suspects of violent assault – yet ICE officer are unable to arrest or are forced to release many of the most dangerous back into U.S. communities due to unscrupulous political agendas and corrupt leaders.”
There is no more reliable source on what is needed on our border than the men and woman who dedicate their life’s work to guarding it. With Clinton receiving a meager 5% of the members votes, it’s clear that Trump’s policies are necessary to keep our nation safe from the criminals attempting to illegally enter it.
- It’ll cost taxpayers nothing. Mexico WILL pay for the wall
Critics have long argued that the wall would cost taxpayers a fortune, and Trump’s plan to force Mexico to pay for it is absurd. But that absurdity has officially been debunked, by none other than Mexico’s former secretary of foreign affairs.
Jorge Casteneda, who allegedly hates The Donald, listed out a series of ways Trump could demand the funds. While he might not receive a single check written “for the wall,” there are multiple indirect ways.
Casteneda told the Weekly Standard that Trump could, “increase the fee for visas, which is a decision made by the State Department, not by Congress, increase the toll on the bridges [between the two countries]… again, not done by Congress.”
He also suggested Trump could tax the remittances being sent from the US to Mexico through, “transaction fees, commissions, special fees etc.”
So while Mexico might not explicitly agree to pay for the wall, it can be funded their dollars, not ours.

Without a doubt we need better secured borders or we will end up like France and Germany. Here is another way to have the wall paid for and a rather quick one at that. Mexico and the US both agree that the drug cartel is out of control and want to fight drug trafficking. Every time they seize drug cartel money, homes, vehicles and other property they can resale all of it and use it strictly for building the wall. I recently googled what countries are receiving foreign aid from the U.S. gov’t and found out that Mexico is receiving close to $500,000,000 annually. A southern wall was already voted on and approved years ago. It wasn’t finished,nor was it properly designed. It needs to be redone and extended. The entire southern and northern border need to be reinforced and enforced.

Per the GAO $54 billion in remittances were sent out of this country in 2014. A 5% tax on that level of remittances would provide almost $3 billion towards construction of an state of the art wall.

Other ideas to fund the wall and beef up our own economy:
1) Put super high tariffs on all products coming from Mexico, including those produced by US companies that have plants and operations in Mexico. Once the wall is built, much of the tariff can be eliminated. The rest pays for maintenance and monitoring in perpetuity.
2) All illegals who want to stay, assuming they end up being allowed to stay and have not committed ANY other crime, must pay a $25,000 fine per person, or be deported.
3) Allow families of murdered or seriously injured US citizens to sue Mexico for their loss.
4) Allow medical facilities to sue Mexico for the free medical they have had to render to (a) illegals, (b) those injured or killed by Illegals.
5) Allow all Courts and Corrections jurisdictions to sue Mexico for the cost of arrest, trials and incarceration of any illegal from Mexico.
6) There needs to be a class action suit against all major US business organizations, such as the US Chamber of Commerce and Agricultural groups (not individual businesses) for demanding more illegal labor. The low wages they get to pay, mostly under the table, has created a false wage economy rather than allowing the free market to adjust pay scales by demand and need. This has caused the Dumbocrats to push for higher wages for citizens but it will not help as product costs will skyrocket artificially.
I totally agree with your post. One thing this country has to do ASAP–get inflation under control!! That has destroyed other countries’ economies and will destroy ours as well. We have ‘dangers’ within our system, as well as ‘outside our system’, that need to be addressed. I just hope that all the people who think Trump has some good ideas for protecting our borders to keep us safe, limiting immigrants for a time and bringing about the needed changes discussed yesterday will come out in droves and elect him. I really don’t care to hear about Trump’s or Hillary’s past transgressions, I am thinking about the future of my country. Don’t just sit there at your computer, get out and about. Try to use your influence among relatives and friends, co-workers, etc. to bring about some changes.
If we don’t work to get this done there is a bad day coming. Honestly, do you really want Hillary screaming around the White House, while Bill chases the new batch of interns, etc. The Supreme Court will have a very different aspect and people like Speaker Ryan will be shut down. This election will have very serious consequences so forget about Trump’s “speaking off the cuff”, being rude and saying the wrong thing, there are bigger things at stake.
Not to worry, Jeanne!!! We have been doing that for months now!! On the phone, on the computer and in person–talking to everyone we know!! Have persuaded many who weren’t ‘sure’ into becoming Trump ‘supporters’!! The importance of this election has to be stressed. This is a ‘win or break’ deal and they really need to ‘know’ that!! Hillary’s history HAS to be known!! She can’t just ‘fluff it off’ like it has no importance!!! Her ‘history’ will be our ‘future’ if we don’t stop it here!!

I don ‘t mean to be disrespectful, but I think you are all crazy for wanting Trump, as president. He is not going to build a wall, for one thing. He is also not going to be able to do a lot of what he says, because all changes have to be approved by the Senate and Congress. That’s how the government system is set up. Trump will not have the last word, unless he becomes a dictator, which I could actually imagine! But even though some people worship him, I have to believe that America, as a whole, is smart enough to not let go of our democracy. You will eventually see that Trump is a con artist without morals. Did you people not hear him say:”I’m smart,” when asked why he hadn’t been paying taxes? If so, how can you be okay with him not paying taxes while the rest of us are. Doesn’t something seem to be wrong with this, like maybe because it sounds illegal! He should be ashamed for not putting in his fair share for the good of the country! And the IRS should go after him and others who don’t pay taxes, instead of letting them get away with it! The people that need a break, don’t get it, while people who can afford to pay are the ones that get all the breaks! Doesn’t that make you mad? Both candidates are wealthy. Trump makes a lot of his money from the factories he has overseas, cheating Americans out of jobs. I haven’t heard him say he is bringing all of his overseas businesses to the United State. I’m not saying Hillary is great, but she is the logical choice for president. Anyway, good luck to you all!

China built a wall forever ago. Israel built one around their nation. Even Jordan has one. The WH and Capital Bldg and every govt building everywhere and homes and offices all have walls both inside and out have walls. And all for the same purpose. To keep unwanted whatever out and for privacy. Prisons have walls to keep prisoners in. Immigration laws are virtual walls thus have to be enforced to be effective. . Although I wasn’t there I am confident the first buildings had walls so walls are not new. Why are O and H so selfish they want to live behind walls, but they don’t want the American citizens to have the same sense of security. they enjoy and plot un-American activities behind! Even H’s DIY server was hidden by some walls. How can they be so insensitive the the needs of the people?
What are we waiting for. It should be built right away before our country is attacked again. What’s wrong with our current administration? They definitely should be taken out of office for the good of OUR country. They do nothing!!

There’s another way to “Make This Country Great Again’ at least give the economy a boost, is to let older people use their IRA’s, 401K’s,Savings.etc. ( I am trying to put them all in a group) without imposing a tax burden to use their funds for real estate,a second home in the sun, rebuild their own home, would unleash a flood of spending into the economy, the loss to Government would be minimal against a 20 Trillion Dollar Deficit. A thought only but would unleash a tremendous amount of money into the economy.
The wall DEFINITELY but add what the Israelis did as well: Motion sensors that spray skunk spray. Makes it easy to track down anyone who breaches the wall.
I would like to see Mr. Trump build a “multi-purpose Wall”. Build as long a wall as possible, but within a central portion of the wall maybe at least 50 feet long and 30 feet high x width as needed, BUILD INTO IT:
(1.) An Office for Border Patrol (also for criminal pre-screening)
(2.) A Jail Cell
(3.) An Immigrant Processing Center (start there!)
(4.) An Office of Documentation (get them necessary basic cards, Picture ID’s etc.) (used chairs)
(5.) A Small Health Dept. (for health screening BEFORE entering the U.S., and required shots, treatments, etc.)
(6.) An Employment Office to help direct their employment possibilities.
(7.) A small Class on basic English words they should know (used desks)
(8.) Possibly a Transition Waiting Area, places to sit. (used furniture)
(9.) Several Buses to take them to agreed upon/ APPROVED and DOCUMENTED starting destinations where they can go on from there. In a sense- start a “paper trail” for them.
This would keep all AT the Border until people are actually approved for entry. I wish it could be so!

Is anyone surprised by this corruption? When FBI Director James Comey said that the organization would not be seeking to bring charges against Hillary Clinton over her illegal email server, anyone paying attention knew there was a deep level of corruption. Now, it’s been made clear. James Comey received millions of dollars from the corrupt Clinton Foundation, and his brother’s law firm also does the Clinton’s taxes as well as Mark Cuban’s.
According to a letter sent by 200 Republicans who stated Clinton “clearly placed our nation’s secrets in peril,” Comey was asked why he would not bring charges against her. “No one is above the law, and the American people deserve a more robust explanation for your decision to not recommend criminal charges.”
Just imagine what the potential cost to this country COULD BE if we do not build the wall. It may already be too late but better late than not!
I live close to the border . THE WALL MUST BE COMPLETED. IN SUNLAND PARK NEW MEXICO, EVERY BODY WALLS ACROSS ANY TIME THEY WANT. SUNLAND PARK IS A SAINTORARY CITY ..NEW MEXICO ONLY A FEW YFROM EL PASO, TX AND MEXICO. THE WALL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BUILT, BUT THE CITY FATHERS WERE AGAINST IT.

As a long-time resident living for over 20 years on the US-Mexico Border I have to refute all three arguments.
1) There already is a wall along miles and miles of the border particularly here in the Rio Grande Valley. It will
never beat ladders or tunnels, both of which are readily used in areas with a border wall in place. Moreover, it doesn’t stop Central Ametican mothers with minor children who walk across the international bridge, surrender themselves to Immigration and seek asylum. These individuals who comprise the great majority of migrants are given a layer court date and are allowed to remain in the country until then. The Great Wall of China couldn’t stop that.
2) It has been often stated that Islamic Terrorists are crossing into the US from Mexico. This thesis is totally unsupported by any law enforcement on either side of the Border. In the heavily militarized city of Reynosa, a haven for human smuggling, no members of ISIS have ever been apprehended or even discovered. Trust me. They would stand out like a sore thumb here. Reports to the contrary are unsubstantiated hype.
3) Bridge tolls are determined by the cities that own and operate the bridges on the US side of the Border. The City of McAllen which operates two bridges isn’t going to raise tolls to pay for a wall that’s already in place. Increased tolls are a deterrent to international commerce between the US and Mexico which in Texas alone brings in one billion dollars a day. I would really like to see Mr Trump stop Mexicans who are legal US residents or even citizens from sending money to their families in Mexico. Because of those remittances from family members in the USA, many people stay in Mexico instead of illegally entering the US. Kill the incentive, kill the reason to stay home.
4) It’s not surprising that the Border Patrol would support more walls. As an agent once told me in Laredo ”
If I’m parked in front of a wall versus in an unwalled area, I have less activity. For me the less activity in a day, the better I feel”. Yet the wall where it exists here in the McAllen-Mission hasn’t stopped mothers and children from crossing the bridge and surrendering by the thousands. Those Border Patrol Agents at one point were changing diapers in the McAllen Border Patrol detention center.
Wildlife experts warn that much wildlife will die if wall is built.
Of course politicians do not care .
What about the rest if us?
As Mr.Trump stated we need law and order this could not be more true.
