The father of the Orlando gay nightclub shooter was spotted at a campaign event for Hillary Clinton in central Florida.

Seddique Mateen was standing in a crowd behind Clinton during the Monday night event in Kissimmee, south of Orlando. A campaign official told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he wasn’t invited to attend the 3,000-person, open-door public event and that the campaign wasn’t aware he was there until it ended.

Mateen told news outlets after the rally that he loves “the United States.”

Omar Mateen fatally shot 49 people and injured another 53 at Pulse nightclub on June 12. He was killed by law enforcement officers following a three-hour standoff.

The father says his family has been cooperating with investigators.

During her speech, Clinton expressed support for the survivors of the attack and the loved ones of those killed.

The Clinton campaign said the rally was a 3,000-person, open-door event for the public and that Mateen wasn’t invited as a guest and that the campaign was unaware of his presence until after the event.

“She disagrees with his views and disavows his support,” spokesman Nick Merrill said.

The Associated Press contributed to this article.

Ms Clinton trapped Mr. Trump by this guy, she would like to do anything to dig trump’s temper out and Trump can lose his focus on economic, security…to voters.

Why was the mass murderer’s father allowed to sit on the same stage from where that hillary rotten clinton was talking ?

This event may have been opened to the public but I can’t believe that someone didn’t control who made it onto the stage. It would seem sensible to fill the area behind the candidate with known loyal supporters. I could understand this guy being a face in the crowd but his presence on stage makes it look like he is a major player in the Hillary campaign in that area. It sounds like Hillary needs to do a better job planning their events.

They knew he was there. All people on stage in the back ground are hand picked.
I’m not a Hillary supporter but one fact remains. The father and family should not be blamed for their sons actions unless it is proved they had involvement. The individual has the right to support a Nut case if he wants.

Chances are he was invited by Hillary to be there and in that exact spot. I don’t believe for one minute that those people were not screened before getting into that crowd of cowards.
