How ironic! Charleston church killer doesn’t want to die

Attorneys for the man charged with killing nine people at a Charleston church are challenging federal prosecutors’ intention to seek the death penalty against him.

Lawyers for Dylann Roof argue in a motion filed Monday that the death penalty and federal death penalty law are unconstitutional.

Their motion asks that a judge declare the death penalty law unconstitutional. It says such a ruling would permit Roof to enter a guilty plea and be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release.

Roof is also facing a death penalty trial next year in state court in connection with the June 2015 shootings at Emanuel AME Church. No date has been set for the federal trial.

Authorities said Roof posed with the Confederate battle flag before the killings and talked of trying to start a race war.

The Associated Press contributed to this article.

I’m sure that this killer never considered the constitutional rights of the people he murdered, so why should he be afforded more consideration than he gave his victims?

Well, my answer to this racist piece of crap that cold blooded murdered 9 wonderful forgiving God’s children is this:
Turn him loose in general pop with the brothers. That would assist is taxpayers in supporting him until he dies from his sentence.
Better yet, take this pos and drop him off in the Chicao projects where I worked and survived for z15 years. Tattoo on his face “I hate nig@@rs!” Problem solved!

JOHN THIS SICK MORON SHOULD BE CRUCIFIED AN DISEMBOWELED WHILE ON THE CROSS ALONG WITH THE SANDY HOOK MORON, JUST TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE REST OF THESE SICK PEOPLE, THE GUY THAT SHOT THE CONGRESS WOMAN IN AZ.. AND NUMEROUS OTHERS, THERE IS NO PUNISHMENT GREAT ENOUGH FOR THESE SICKOS. THEY SLAP THERE HAND PUT THEM IN A PLACE WHERE YOU GET FEED AN CLOTHED WITH MEDICAL CARE. I COULD THINK OF A LOT BETTER USE OF A PRISON THAN TO DETAIN SOMEBODY LIKE THAT.

No doubt about his guilt. Just kill him and be done with it. I don’t want to support his sorry ass for the rest of his life!

It sounds like the prosecutor didn’t offer the killer a plea deal.

In this situation there is no doubt who the killer was. This crime was intentional. The death penalty was made for clear cut cases like this. If the prosecutor gives the killer the option of life in prison there is always a chance that at some point in the future he will appeal his sentence based on receiving faulty legal counsel or seek a pardon. The best way to assure that this demon doesn’t ever gain freedom is to execute him.

I read in one news story that his attorney gave the lengthy time between the sentencing to death and the carrying out of the sentence as one reason the death penalty should be declared unconstitutional. In this case that process should be sped up so Mr. Roof can meet the executioner before Christmas.

Agree with Justin, John and Wendell. Where do all these people come from who are happy to defend low life like this?
We had the murder of Lee Rigby by two “muslims” in the UK. They were seen glorying in the bloodbath in broad daylight, yet still they were referred to as ‘the suspects’. Unfortunately no death penalty means they get time to apply for free legal aid for overturning the verdict, time in jail to radicalise other non-lifers, possibly time off for good behaviour in about twenty years. Meanwhile, the family and the families of victims get a life sentence which they can’t appeal or escape from with the added insult that the people who barbaricallykilled their loved one(s) are still breathing and seeking clemency for their cruel sick crimes.
They are murderers plain and simple. Personally I don’t care about their motivation, religion or human rights. Put them down like you’d put down a crazed dog and be done with it.

Yes, he should definitely get the Death Penalty. And the worse part is he used the Confederate Flag in his picture. Therefore the Political Correct Politicians had the Flag removed from places they had always been. The Sons of the Confederate Soldiers deserved more respect than that! The Flag is like a gun. The Gun doesn’t kill people; people kill people. Neither does the Flag cause a war!
Thank you Mississippi for sticking to your rights! Execute the Killer now!!!

He doesn’t want the death penalty because he’s taking a short ride to Hell.

We need the old time laws back. If you are sentenced to death you are taken out to a brick wall and faced with seven men with rifles and shot then and there, That is the trouble with this country. They are sentenced to death then spend the rest of their life waiting while the tax payers support them. A bunch of bs. Oh yeah, as for the rebel flag, it has nothing to do with race. It was the battle flag of the south, same as the north had one.

It really does not matter. He will not last long in the general population in prison, anyway.
