It’s been two years since the Islamic State group’s stunning victory in the Iraqi city of Mosul.
For two years, the Islamic terror group has subjugated the nearly 2 million civilians living in and around the city with their harsh Sharia law — but all that is beginning to change.
Pressured by coalition airstrikes and an advancing Iraqi Army, ISIS has begun to lose it’s iron grip on locals.
There are growing signs of rebellion in Mosul, and reports are leaking out that citizens are beginning to kill ISIS fighters, according to Iraq TV and aid workers interviewed by telephone.
“Armed clashes erupted between the residents of the Bab al-Jadid neighborhood in central Mosul and Daesh terrorists late on Sunday, a local source told Iraq’s al-Sumaria news website on Sunday,” according to Iraq’s PressTV station.
Daesh is the Arabic acronym for ISIS.
“The uprising has led to the expulsion of the Daesh militants from their positions in the area and the death of two terrorists.”
Two vehicles belonging to the terrorists were also burned, according to the source who asked not to be identified.
Former Governor of Nineveh Province Atheel Nujaifi told this reporter on May 29th that he has up to 1,000 underground forces within the city and ready to stage an uprising. “Having 1,000 soldiers within the city is more powerful than 10,000 soldiers outside the city,” he said then. Whether the clashes have been caused by Nujaifi’s loyalists has not been determined.
The rebellion is apparently spreading through surrounding areas as well.
In Hammam al-Alil, a large village 20 miles south of Mosul, three ISIS terrorists were killed by armed residents, and the residents there reportedly say they will kick ISIS out of the district entirely. Residents in some neighborhoods are flying the Iraqi flag, according to several media sources.
Citizens are fighting back in symbolic ways as well, according to the Assyrian news site Karemlash, which reported Monday that residents in Mosul have started to publicly break the jihadists’ laws.
A humanitarian aid worker in Kirkuk, who asked not to be identified for security reasons, confirmed by phone Monday that many citizens are rebelling against ISIS rules, saying that some residents are flying the Iraqi flag from their windows to flaunt their disloyalty, and that many are using their cell phones, which is a crime that can lead to torture or execution.
“ISIS cadre are attempting to collect identification cards from residents at their houses so as to prevent them from fleeing. The reason is that everyone knows that IDPs have to be interviewed and identified in order to qualify for food and humanitarian aid. But without proper identification, the Iraqi authorities may suspect that these people are with ISIS,” she said.
Outside the city, Iraqi Army forces are beginning to encircle the ISIS positions.
At the strategically important city of Qayara, 40 miles south of the city, Iraqi Army brigades launched a predawn attack Monday.
Iraqi Army forces took full control of an airbase 10 miles west on July 9th and Iraqi Army troops have begun massing there.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi has promised his citizens that Mosul will be liberated by the end of the year.

You must be unaware of the many public statements issued by D’OweBama wherein he’s telling Americans – PUBLICLY – that he’s supplying training to ISIS/ISIL, and actively RECRUITING them to fight against Assad in Syria.
You must also be unaware that D’OweBama GAVE tanks and jets to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
He only began to talk of “destroying ISIS” AFTER the Russians came in on Assad’s side…

The Evil of ISIS cannot survive but it has to be hastened . These killers have committed the most atrocious crimes against humanity whilst their ‘leader’ hides in a safe place somewhere. Its long past the time to send in a bunker buster bomb to blow Big Didi away to hell where he came from.
They probably got tired of waiting for our fearless leader to even call it by its name let alone fight it. All he wants to do is make like it isn’t real, leave office and let the next guy worry about his problem. He’s much to concerned in keeping his peace prize unblemished no matter how many lives it costs others.
These people who live and work there will have to pick up the arms and defend their city. They can’t wait until US Forces or Allied forces take over. They have the enemy right in front of them and they need to fight as well. ISIS needs to be destroyed and their Sharia Law is the worst thing to happen to women and needs to be destroyed too. This is NOT biblical days, this is the 21st century and people are different than they were thousands of years ago. They can’t enslave women like they used to. No one can.
If the people of Iraq want to have a country that is at peace and prosperous they are going to have to play an active role in turning their dream into reality. Once the peace loving citizens of Iraq kill the ISIS terrorists they may finally be able to come together as Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis to build a country that will provide opportunity for all.
The best way to deal with ISIS fighters is to kill them. That prevents them from causing trouble in the future. ISIS has made it clear that their goal is to destroy civilization and replace it with a society that is brutal, oppressive, poverty-laden and miserable. People of all religions need to stand against that and destroy the terrorists.

While i agree in principle with this statement, in order to permanently extinguish the problem, it must be traced to it’s source: the CIA, and those who direct it’s activities. You see, American foreign policy is currently being carried out by both terrorists and terrorist attacks – for false flags ops are easily blamed on them.

It may be difficult and/or a bitter pill to swallow, but multiple agencies of the USG have been routinely involved in false flag events – and not only in foreign countries, but this one, too.
Like always, I’m confused about the Middle East. I figure that Iran would be natural enemy of ISIS, since they are fighting their ally Assad in Syria. But Iran is sitting on their hands. (Iran is probably more worried about Saudi Arabia.) And Iran is mostly Shia Muslim, and ISIS is mostly Sunni Muslim. (Saudi Arabia also Sunni.) The stupid US State Dept. and CIA stumbled into creating ISIS, and are now supposedly fighting ISIS-but not very aggressively. Like I said-nothing makes sense. How about getting our confused behinds out of the Middle East, and let them fight their own wars?!!
