“On the Holmes Front” with Frank Holmes
Ten years is a long time for a murdered man’s family to wait for justice. But court documents and a congressional letter reviewed by The Horn News show that Americans may finally get answers to one of the most controversial cases in modern political history—a murder mystery allegedly involving Hillary Clinton herself.
A congressman is demanding the Trump administration turn over any documents it has on a supposedly random shooting that could put a bullet through the heart of the Democratic Party.
It happened 10 years ago yesterday. The victim wasn’t famous at the time.
On July 10, 2016, a 27-year-old Democratic National Committee staffer named Seth Conrad Rich in was walking down the 2100 block of Flagler Place NW in our nation’s capital when he was murdered in cold blood.
Seth Rich was talking with his girlfriend on the phone when the fatal shots rang out. Police chalked the whole thing up to a robbery gone bad, one of the many in the poorly governed, Democrat-dominated District. The unsolved case quickly collected dust.
His murderer has never been found. In fact, there’s still a $25,000 reward out for information leading to the capture of his killer or killers.
And that’s the whole story… at least officially. But insiders have always claimed there was more to the tragic shooting than meets the eye.
Rich’s murder happened shortly after the DNC claimed somebody hacked its servers, stole private emails between its highest-ranking officials, and published them on the website WikiLeaks.
The Democratic Party hired a firm that swore the hack came from Russia, due to “metadata” that had been left behind accidentally by inept web warriors.
But many believe it wasn’t Russia; it was Rich.
Seth Rich was a Bernie Sanders supporter working in the DNC, when he became outraged that party officials had rigged the 2016 primaries against Bernie Sanders.
The Horn told you years ago that Bernie Sanders’ supporters saw the WikiLeaks emails as proof positive the Democratic Party brass sacked Sanders and backed Hillary.
Rich is believed by some to have taken the data and turned it over to WikiLeaks—a theory Joe Rogan discussed on his viral podcast.
But now, there may be more than guesswork and “conspiracy theories”—a lot more. A congressman and the courts are now involved.

“I write to request the release of all Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) records related to the death of Seth Rich,” wrote Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., in a letter written Tuesday to FBI Director Kash Patel.
The letter describes a tangled web of lies during the administration of Barack Obama.
“Initially, the FBI informed the public it was not investigating Mr. Rich’s death, which was described as a botched robbery handled by local law enforcement,” Burchett pointed out. “The FBI later acknowledged possessing evidence related to Rich, including his work laptop and a forensic image of his personal laptop, but resisted releasing these materials for years.”
When a citizen filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request demanding all the documents the agency had about Rich in 2017, the FBI responded that it had been “unable to locate any responsive main files.”
But the FBI later confessed it had more than 20,000 pages of potentially responsive files, including 1,596 pages were directly related to Rich and another 1,496 pages excluded because of exemptions in the FOIA process itself.
“Given the Administration’s commitment to transparency, I strongly urge the full release of these records, as permitted by law. Doing so would address longstanding questions and demonstrate the Administration’s continued support for upholding public trust,” Burchett told Patel.
Burchett, the plain-spoken conservative from Tennessee, pulled no punches dealing with the Deep State.
“The FBI needs to release all the files on Seth Rich immediately,” said Burchett. “The American people deserve answers,” added Burchett’s press office.
The congressman’s letter follows years of shady actions and questionable ethics from the FBI in its handling of the Seth Rich case.
After lying about having responsive files on the Seth Rich case, the FBI continued to stonewall investigators. Agency leaders attempted to slow or reverse demands for records by filing court motions in September 2022, when the court ordered it to produce a Vaughn Index—which shows every record or partial record the FBI has that is responsive, including those that have been redacted.
Burchett’s letter and the push for new records comes from attorney Ty Clevenger, who says lawyers in the Trump administration revealed to him they found something big inside the bowels of the J. Edgar Hoover Building.
Government attorneys say, while going through a hidden Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) at FBI headquarters, they found hundreds of pages of previously unreleased documents about Seth Rich’s murder in “burn bags.” This is the same SCIF where administration officials say they found “burn bags” of documents related to the Russian collusion hoax.
On June 15, Clevenger filed a new motion in his own FOIA request for those documents and all metadata from Rich’s electronic devices.
He posted the notice online on Monday. Burchett’s letter came one day later.
If ever released, the contents could be toxic to Hillary Clinton.

The emails released to WikiLeaks humiliated the Clinton campaign and the DNC at the time. Many speculate Hillary Clinton or someone in the Democratic Party found out about Rich’s actions and had him targeted for a suspicious death, like so many of Hillary Clinton’s associates.
“It is believed that Seth Rich forwarded emails from (Clinton campaign manager John) Podesta to WikiLeaks…There is simply no evidence that Russia was involved, and there never has been evidence that Russia was involved,” writes Joe Hoft.
“Hillary wanted to deflect attention from her email scandal and the contents of her emails. She also wanted to punish whoever sent those emails to WikiLeaks,” notes Hoft. “This is why many believe Seth Rich was murdered.”
Whatever the truth, nobody wants anything to do with it.
“Nobody on Capitol Hill has been willing to touch this subject with a ten-foot pole. The murder of Seth Rich – and the resulting cover-up – is as radioactive as any topic I’ve ever seen,” wrote Clevenger on Monday. “I hope that changes soon, and I’ll post updates as soon as I know more.”
“(By the way),” Clevenger quipped, “I’m not suicidal. I feel great.”
SETH RICH UPDATE: Today an attorney for the government told me that I would soon be getting confirmation that several hundred pages of documents related to Seth Rich were found in a previously-hidden room at FBI headquarters. Is it possible Hillary Clinton got away with murder?
Do you think she will ever face the music?
