Stacey Abrams is now heading to jail, says Lee Zeldin

The woman liberals once praised as the future of the Democratic Party may soon be going to jail—and President Donald Trump just made the announcement as only he can.

The TV star-turned-president shone a spotlight on a massive corruption scandal with flare that only he has. He made the announcment during a televised Cabinet hearing, he slowly unrolled the full criminal intent over several days, and he let one of his top officials confirm the criminal proceedings.

Just before Joe Biden left office, “Stacey Abrams was given $2 billion,” said President Trump.

Abrams—the Democratic Party’s two-time loser who ran for governor of Georgia and refused to concede after her 2018 loss— founded a clean energy organization called Power Forward Communities to cash in on government grants being handed out like candy in the last days of the Biden-Harris administration.

The funds came from your pocket via the $14 billion National Clean Investment Fund program, which President Joe Biden created by ramming the Inflation Reduction Act through Congress. Biden awarded the $2 billion grant to Abrams’ Power Forward Communities in April 2024.

That seemed like an odd choice: The group was so new that it had only $100 in its bank account the year before, and Abrams knows nothing about the environment.

Stacey Abrams’ $2 billion boondoggle, which Trump administration officials described as “self-dealing,” came as part of a massive $29 billion glut of grants that Biden officials gave to friends on their way out of office.

Then came the Trump administration. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin canceled the grants last February, weeks after taking office.

Abrams sued to keep her ill-gotten gain but lost on appeal, and the funds remain frozen.

“They fought like Hell!” laughed President Trump.

But then administration officials explained why Democrats won’t be laughing anymore.

Zeldin told President Trump that Biden administration officials got “caught on video saying that they were rushing to get billions of dollars out the door before your swearing in because they were afraid that once you were sworn in, you were going to stop it. Well, that part they were right.”

Democrats admitted they stole your tax dollars to give to radical left-wing organizations, especially since they knew they would likely lose the 2024 election.

“It’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge,” Brent Efron told an undercover investigator with Project Veritas, founded by James O’Keefe.

Zeldin then made a statement that made Democrats’ blood run cold. The Justice Department has a team of “great attorneys making sure this accountability is delivered” to people who rip off the American people.

And that’s nothing compared to what he said after the cameras stopped rolling.

On an interview with conservative journalist, Zeldin let it fly.

Stacey Abrams thought she was going to the White House. Now, she may be going to the Big House.

“Do you think some of this…self-dealing rises to the level of criminality? Will there be any referrals to the Justice Department or the FBI at some point?” asked John Solomon of Just the News.

“Those referrals have been made,” replied Zeldin, “referrals to the office of inspector general of the EPA, referrals to the DOJ and FBI, as well.”

He added that “the DOJ’s been doing a good job litigating President Trump’s position” in court.

Stacey Abrams thought she was going to the White House. Now, she may be going to the Big House.

The prosecution should thrill conservatives outraged over numerous fraud scandals in Minneapolis, Ohio, and elsewhere. The Biden-Harris administration pulled off “a $29 BILLION dollar heist, planned by Barrack Hussein Obama,” demanded one online commentator. “ARREST THEM!”

To make matters worse for Abrams, it’s not the only legal jeopardy she’s facing.

In May, Abrams got slapped with a subpoena from Georgia state senators over campaign violations from 2018.

The Horn told you that Abrams ran the New Georgia Project, which got caught covering up $4.2 million in donations and $3.2 million in campaign expenditures during the 2018 election, when Abrams first ran for governor. The Georgia Ethics Commission fined the group $300,000 for 16 violations last October.

That’s the largest fine for ethical violations in Georgia state history—a historic first for Abrams!

Now, she’s being summoned to testify before the Georgia state Senate’s Special Committee on Investigations to see if she committed even more campaign violations or crimes.

“The Ethics Commission uncovered what it described as one of the most significant campaign finance violations in state history,” said Sen. Bill Cowsert, R-Athens. “Our committee intends to determine who was responsible and whether additional reforms or enforcement mechanisms are necessary to protect the public trust and prevent this from ever happening again.”

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) has also lodged a complaint about the group and its sister organization, the New Georgia Project Action Fund, with the IRS.

In a statement released on May 11, Abrams responded by saying the whole investigation is a witchhunt to stop black voters. Abrams said scrutiny directed at her hiding a few million dollars is really just “part of a coordinated scheme to diminish minority voices” and another example of evil, racist Republicans “controlling the outcome of elections by diminishing the agency of voters.”

She’s worried, because she knows there could be a lot to probe.

As The Horn has reported extensively, Abrams has seen her net worth increase 30-fold as a result of her lucrative political campaigns and “nonprofits.”

But instead of slowing down the grift, Abrams has no shame. She’s now running a new group called American Pride Rises.

“I believe in success,” Abrams told CBS News in 2022. She added that she had  “done my best” to “be successful personally.”

Mission accomplished.

But it’s a sad end for the woman Democrats saw as an inevitable presidential candidate not so long ago.

Democratic leaders chose Stacey Abrams to deliver the response to President Trump’s first State of the Union address in 2021.

Joe Biden thought long and hard about tapping Stacey Abrams as his vice president. Instead, Biden tapped Kamala Harris—not much of an upgrade.

Abrams considered running for governor this year, telling talk show host Drew Barrymore in a Freudian slip that running for office is her “job.”

The next time Stacey Abrams sits down on Drew’s couch for a fashion talk, they can discuss whether Abrams looks good in stripes. Her next job may just be pressing license plates in the Peach State.
