“On the Holmes Front” with Frank Holmes
The greatest oxymoron in modern American politics could be expressed in just two words: Democratic Party.
The Democrats have always claimed they’re the party of the people, making sure the majority gets its way against the fat cats of Washington. But after losing two (possibly three) elections in a row to President Donald Trump, the liberal minority party has turned its back on democracy and began not-so-subtly calling for an outright military coup—the kind of tinhorn dictatorship it warned President Trump would institute last fall.
The Democrats have gone cuckoo for coups.
Worse yet, two of their most significant members — including one of the most “centrist” Democrats in Washington — just doubled down on it.
It began late in November, when six Democratic members of Congress recorded a video encouraging uniformed military servicemen to refuse to carry out an “illegal order” from President Trump.
It’s already illegal to carry out an “illegal order,” but critics said the group used the video to signal the Deep State to gum up the engine of democracy and make sure the president didn’t implement any of the policies that won him the last election—to drag their feet until Democrats could return and reward their disobedience.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Democrats — Senators Mark Kelly, D-Ariz.; and Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., as well as Reps. Jason Crow, D-Colo.; Chris Deluzio, D-Penn.; Maggie Goodlander, D-N.H.; and Chrissy Houlahan, D-Penn. — “The Seditious Six” and threatened to court martial Kelly for inciting members of the armed forces to ignore orders from their commander-in-chief.
Now, it’s become clear the seditious caucus speaks for the entire Democratic Party.
“I think in many ways, the uniformed military may help save us from this president,” Senator Mark Warner, D-Va., told MS NOW hostess Mika Brzezinski of Morning Joe on Wednesday.
He went on to say Trump “has treated the uniformed military with unprecedented disrespect when they were all brought to get a pep rally in front of Hegseth and Trump.”
He also complained that “this is an administration that’s fired uniformed generals from the head of the NSA, the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency.”
As if it’s “disrespectful” to fire members of the Deep State — who, like all appointees, serve at the pleasure of the president.
That’s really troubling, because Warner, a three-term senator, is considered one of the “centrist, voices of reason” in the Democratic Party.
Warner is also vice chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence, one of the most important positions favoring the Deep State.
Worse yet, he’s not the only one who has taken up this position — and the other one presents an even more troubling threat to national security.
Democrats are praying that the military assists them in a violent coup.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., recently said he’s filled with “hope” from believing that members of the military “can be a check” on President Trump’s orders.
He’s running for governor of California, and he’s doing well in the polls. .
“What gives me hope [is] I talk to service members all the time, and they tell me that I don’t appreciate enough and the public doesn’t appreciate enough that while Congress is not a check on the president anymore, and the judiciary at the Supreme Court is hardly a check, military members have told me, ‘We can be a check’” on President Trump, Swalwell told CNN host Don Lemon’s podcast.
Swalwell was also careful to pretend he was talking about illegal orders, adding, “They’re essentially saying, ‘We’re not going to betray our oath to the Constitution because this guy tells us to.’”
And he admitted that neither the law or the Constitution is “codified that way — they’re not a branch of government on their own.” Still, he claimed Democratic Deep State military officers’ “honor and integrity might just save us.”
Presumably, by “us,” Fang Fang’s ex-boyfriend means Democratic and liberals.
NEW – Eric Swalwell just went on Don Lemon and doubled-down HARD:
Claims active-duty military members are privately pulling him aside
Says they’re telling him they will “keep Trump in check”
Brags their “honor and integrity” will stop the President

Of course, this entire push means the Democrats have become what they accused President Trump of being during the 2024 election: a military dictator.
The Horn told you about the smear campaign last fall, when Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris went on Fox News to claim, if President Trump won the election, “he would turn the American military on the American people!”
“Donald Trump over the weekend was talking about using the U.S. Army against people who disagree with him,” added her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in a separate speech.
Harris and her party went on to call Trump a fascist over and over. Now, after losing the 2024 election in a blowout, the Democrats are the ones calling on the military to overthrow the president.
President Trump has noticed, and he wants action..
“Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL,” wrote President Donald Trump.
That’s a legal order we’d love to see carried out.
