Hillary Clinton just made a really, really good point (you’ll actually agree)

Even a broken clock is correct twice a day, the old saying goes… and it seems that includes former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The twice-failed Democratic presidential hopeful admitted that antisemitism is rampant among Democrats and inside college campuses, and blamed social media for radicalizing her party’s young core demographics against Israel.

Speaking at the Israel Hayom summit in Manhattan, Clinton said young people on college campuses dominated by Democratic politics are being fed misinformation from social media platforms, particularly TikTok.

She said TikTok spread propaganda and lies about the October 7 Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians among young voters.

“Smart, well-educated, young people from our own country, from around the world, where were they getting their information?” Clinton asked herself at the event. “They were getting their information from social media, particularly TikTok.”

“That is where they were learning about what happened on October 7th, what happened in the days, weeks, and months to follow,” Clinton said. “That’s a serious problem. It’s a serious problem for democracy, whether it’s Israel or the United States, and it’s a serious problem for our young people.”

Clinton said many videos that have spread showing violence against civilians in Gaza are “totally made up” and part of an organized misinformation campaign which began immediately after the October 7 terror attacks. Over 1,200 Israeli civilians were brutally murdered by the radical Islamic terrorists, and over 200 were kidnapped by Hamas and taken back to the Gaza Strip.

“There was an organized effort on October 8 to provide misinformation,” Clinton said. “The students didn’t know history, had very little context; it was pure propaganda.”

Clinton said there was a disconnect among younger Democrats she personally experienced at Columbia University recently, and many liberal students were deriving their worldview entirely from TikTok propaganda.

“There is a great deal of valid concern about how Israel is viewed, not just around the world, but from the United States, how Jewish Americans are viewed, and what is being seen as a significant increase in antisemitism in real life and online,” Clinton said.

She urged the Jewish community and Israeli leadership to remain clear-eyed about the “real increase in antisemitism” that has surged over the past two years.

“It’s time now that the hostages are back and people can breathe again, that everyone needs to take stock of where we are, both in Israel and in this country, learn the lessons that perhaps can help us determine a more productive future,” Clinton said. “All these people shouting ‘from the river to the sea.’ When asked which river, which sea, they had no idea.”

According to the Pew Research Center, about half of U.S. adults, specifically 53 percent, say they at least sometimes get their news from social media in 2025. Just over half of TikTok users, 55 percent, say they primarily get news on the video platform.
