A video of President Donald Trump walking with his grandson at the White House sparked false reports on Monday that the president suffered a stroke at the White House or is battling serious health issues.
The viral clip was edited to remove footage showing Trump walking normally, which The Horn News has found.
Footage shows Trump on November 21 walking with his grandson Theodore Kushner along the White House’s Presidential Walk of Fame. The clip was shared on social media, where users claimed it showed Trump having signs of a stroke or dementia.
An X user posted the edited clip with the caption “Trump looks like he’s having a hard time walking…”
Another X user wrote, “Just Trump stumbling along with a pigeon-toed gait. Common in elderly patients with neurological conditions, and post-stroke patients.” The posts received thousands of shares and comments.

The video is authentic, but large parts of the video were selectively edited out.
“The video was authentic in that it did not display any signs of users doctoring its contents with artificial intelligence (AI) or other video-alteration tools,” Snopes reported. “Users’ claims about Trump living with dementia, wearing leg braces and other health-related matters were unfounded, though.”
“One or more users edited out the ending of the clip showing the president walking away in a fairly normal-looking manner,” Snopes stated.

The Daily Mail credited the original video to Ivanka Trump. The video shows Trump teaching his grandson about the presidential portraits, pointing out each one and explaining their history.
“The video, credited to his eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, and as being recorded on Nov. 21, depicted him stopping multiple times, including on an upward ramp, to point out to his grandson, Theodore Kushner, individual portraits on the White House’s ‘Presidential Walk of Fame,'” Snopes reported.
“Claims of the president receiving a dementia diagnosis, wearing leg braces, experiencing a stroke, or having pigeon toes (intoeing) were unfounded,” the organization stated.
“An authentic video from the following day [Nov. 22] showed the president walking as usual up to a group of reporters to field questions outside the White House,” Snopes reported.
The White House previously addressed similar health speculation in September when social media users claimed photos from a September 11 ceremony showed the right side of Trump’s face drooping. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told Snopes the claim of a stroke was ridiculous and “the answer is absolutely not.”
Theodore Kushner is the youngest child of Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner.
Trump is 79 years old. He has acknowledged mobility concerns in the past, admitting during a speech to the Marines last month that, like many seniors, he takes “extra care” when navigating stairs and cannot “bop down the stairs” the way he used to.
