Former Fox News star and conservative activist Tucker Carlson is suddenly in the middle of an ongoing feud with fellow conservative media stars, leaving many conservatives at odds at what to make of Carlson — and what to believe.
Fellow conservative media personality Mark Levin took to the airwaves on “The Mark Levin Show” to slam Carlson.
At the center of the uproar? Carlson’s recent interview with Nick Fuentes, a far-right activist known for praising Adolf Hitler and denying the Holocaust.
Levin ripped into Carlson during his segment, calling him a “Nazi promoter” and “modern-day David Duke.”
Levin’s remarks come as other top conservative institutions continue to speak out over Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts and his refusal to disavow Carlson’s embrace of Fuentes.
During his segment, Levin read aloud what he described as a “verbatim” exchange between him and Carlson.
Carlson, Levin said, had invited him to debate at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event in December. Levin refused — and unleashed an attack directed at Carlson.
“My family and I want nothing to do with you, what you’ve become, your vile libels against my faith, millions of Christians, and in my view, what you seek to do to our country,” Levin said. “There’s nothing to debate. You’re a Nazi promoter. You’re the modern-day David Duke.”
Levin said he was “disappointed” that TPUSA “continues to platform” Carlson, arguing that it is “not about free speech.”
“You could be heard by millions,” he told Carlson. “Regardless, some unsolicited advice: Stop long enough to remember who you used to be and what you used to stand for.”
Carlson fired back. “For the record, I’m strongly anti-Nazi … but that’s hardly the point,” Carlson said, and challenged Levin to defend his attacks “to my face like a man,” and accused him of being unable to justify “what Israel has done to civilians in Gaza.”
Levin responded by telling Carlson he was “despised,” not “feared.”
“Well, you’re a coward. If you change your mind, I’m here. Thanks,” Carlson shot back again.
Levin’s stinging rebuke of Carlson comes as criticism continues to mount against the former Fox News star over the controversial Fuentes interview.
In a shocking editorial published by The Wall Street Journal last Sunday titled “The Education of the Heritage Foundation’s Kevin Roberts,” the Journal’s editorial board warned that Roberts’ strategic silence and moral evasions threaten not only Heritage’s credibility but the moral standing of the American right itself.
Levin later described Carlson as a “little b*stard” who had “attacked” his stepson, David Milstein, a senior adviser to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
Levin also accused Carlson of committing an “unspeakable betrayal” against conservative leader Charlie Kirk by interviewing Fuentes shortly after Kirk’s death.
Levin added that Carlson had “figured out the more disgusting, heinous, racist, bigoted, antisemitic, anti-American things he can say, the better it is for his video podcast, ‘The Tucker Carlson Show.'”
Despite the growing controversy surrounding Carlson from conservative activists, he remains one of the most popular voices among conservative voters.
The Washington Free Beacon recently posted a poll indicating their opinions of a number of people in media, with Carlson ranking behind on Donald Trump and podcasters Joe Rogan and Theo Von.

Carlson has not commented further on his feud with Levin, or the backlash from the Heritage Foundation.
Carlson’s podcast, “The Tucker Carlson Show,” continues to rank high on podcast charts, reaching No. 5 on YouTube’s weekly podcast rankings, No. 2 on Spotify’s chart, and No. 14 on Apple’s Top Shows in late June 2025.
