An undercover video has exposed a deep, dark secret of one of Virginia’s top Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Abigail Spanberger and her campaign.
A campaign organizer for Spanberger was caught on a hidden video admitting the Democrat accepted money from AIPAC and expressing doubt that anything would change if Spanberger wins.
In the world of the increasingly antisemitic Democratic Party, that might as well be treason.
Fredrica-Maame Ama Deegbe, a Spanberger campaign organizer, made the statements in a hidden camera video obtained by conservative website Townhall.
“Yes, she’s taken like AIPAC money,” Deegbe said in the video. “I know that was also a huge concern for some of our voters, too.”
“Should I not have told you that?” Deegbe joked. “Are you wearing a wire?”
The admission will create problems for Spanberger within the Democratic Party. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has become a target of criticism from far-Left Democrats who oppose its strong support for Israel.
Socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders urged Democrats to sever ties with AIPAC in a social media post.
“Given the illegal and immoral war being waged against the Palestinian people by Netanyahu, NO Democrat should accept money from AIPAC — an organization that also helped deliver the presidency to Donald Trump,” Sanders wrote.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called AIPAC an “extremist organization that destabilizes US democracy” and said the group “endorsed scores of Jan 6th insurrectionists.”
In the video, Deegbe also revealed that Spanberger’s campaign has gathered up huge financial resources from donors all over the country.
“She doesn’t need any more money,” Deegbe said. “It would be a crime, honestly, if they gave her more money. No more money. No more money. She has enough.”
Indeed, campaign finance reports filed with the Virginia Board of Elections show Spanberger has received massive amounts of donations from out-of-state contributors.
Spanberger is running against Republican Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears in Virginia’s gubernatorial election. A Trafalgar poll from October 16 showed Spanberger leading by just two points.
