Buildings and landmarks attached to President Donald Trump’s name are spread throughout the world.
But Trump’s namesake is now coming to a surprise location.
Last week, officials in Florida voted unanimously to locate President Trump’s presidential library at Miami Dade College.
According to a press release from Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis and other top state officials agreed to donate 2.63 acres of the property to Eric Trump’s non-profit, the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, in order for the future library to be built.
However, it was President Trump’s son, Eric, who announced the major next on X, saying:
“I am extremely proud to announce a UNANIMOUS vote by the Florida Cabinet for the conveyance of land for the @realDonaldTrump Presidential Library which will be located in… MIAMI, FLORIDA! It will be the greatest Presidential Library ever built, honoring the greatest President our Nation has ever known. A large thank you to @GovRonDeSantis & @AGJamesUthmeier who have been incredible partners in this endeavor. Consistent with our families DNA, this will be one of the most beautiful buildings ever built, an Icon on the Miami skyline – – rest assured it will not look like President Obama ‘prison like structure.’”

“Having the Trump Presidential Library in Miami will be good for Florida, for the city, and for Miami Dade College,” DeSantis said,praising the move.
“No state has supported the President’s agenda more than the Free State of Florida, and I was proud to spearhead the successful effort to house this historic presidential library right here in his home state.”
Republican Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier stated that he is anticipating the “patriotic stories the Trump Library Foundation will showcase for generations to come,” according to the press release.
The parcel of land carved out for the new library is currently being used as an employee parking lot for the college’s Wolfson Campus, according to the press release.
Trump changed his primary residence from New York City to Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019.
He won the state during all three of his presidential campaigns.
Meanwhile, Trump’s predecessors, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, are both facing significant financial hardships in the building of their respective presidential libraries.
