How the Left celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination

The nation has spent the last week mourning the shooting of Charlie Kirk—but for some on the Left, conservatives still aren’t suffering enough.

Liberal legislators, legacy news outlets, journalists, and commentators have spent the last eight days saying the most demeaning, degrading, and insulting things about the assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, last Wednesday, September 10.

They’ve even spread their hatred to a classroom of innocent children.

A teacher showed 10- and 11-year-old students the traumatic video of Kirk’s neck being violently ripped apart from a 30-06 rifle over and over again—and told them Kirk had it coming.

“While playing this video repeatedly, he gave a speech to his students regarding anti-fascism, anti-trans, and how Charlie Kirk deserved for this to occur,” a source in Scarborough school told the liberal Toronto Sun.

The Toronto District School Board is currently investigating the incident, and the hateful words, heaped on the fifth- and sixth-grade students near Canada’s most populous city…but Americans have seen more than their fair share of bile.

A southern university fired a professor for making the witchcraft- and New Age-inspired belief that Kirk asked the forces of the universe to arrange his bloody murder by defending the Second Amendment.

“Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence,” Laura Sosh-Lightsy, a former assistant dean of student care and conduct at Middle Tennessee State University, posted on Facebook. “Hate begets hate. ZERO Sympathy.”

Ironically, it wasn’t long before her words sealed her fate. “The comments by this employee, who worked in a position of trust directly with students, were inconsistent with our values and have undermined the university’s credibility and reputation with our students,” said a statement from MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee on the university’s Facebook page. “This employee has been fired effective immediately.”

But many remain in office—including Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who said Charlie Kirk—who spent his life debating the issues in a free and open environment—had no business being remembered as a champion of free thought.

“There are a lot of people out there talking about him just wanting to have a civil debate. There is nothing more eff-ed up,” said Omar.

People shouldn’t remember Kirk as a champion of free speech, because he was “willing to debate” the death of George Floyd and had even been caught saying a federal holiday for “Juneteenth should never exist.”

As The Horn has reported, Omar then bizarrely alleged that the next likely victim of domestic terrorism against conservatives is former Vice President Kamala Harris.

At the state level, extreme left-wing Democratic California State Senator Scott Wiener posted on social media that, while the Turning Point USA founder did not deserve to die, “Charlie Kirk was also a vile bigot who did immeasurable harm to so many people by normalizing dehumanization.”

Politicians are not alone; sometimes the anti-Kirk insults come from people claiming to speak on behalf of Almighty God.

On a national broadcast, a pastor demeaned people who mourn Charlie Kirk’s death with a vile racial slur.

Charlie Kirk did not deserve to die.

Also Charlie Kirk was a vile bigot who did immeasurable harm to so many people by normalizing dehumanization.

Yes, having debates on college campuses is a good thing. But dehumanizing people — & persuading others to do so — is horrific.

“Black people who are all over the internet, who are mourning a white supremacist” are “coons,” said “Bishop” Talbert Swan, the pastor of Spring of Hope Church of God in Christ.

Ironically, Swan is a member of the Massachusetts Task Force on Hate Crimes.

Kirk’s murder was a case of “chickens coming home to roost,” said Swan on last Friday’s episode of his YouTube show, which he titled The Black Love Experience.

Swan wasn’t the only man of the cloth to spit on Kirk’s grave; the pastor of the church attended by Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett slurred Kirk last Sunday from the pulpit.

“This week in Utah, a white ‘Christian’ got killed by a white Christian,” said Frederick Haynes, who leads the 13,000-member Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas.

“A white Christian gets killed, murdered—not assassinated,” said Haynes. “Don’t compare Kirk to King!”

When the Left wasn’t using racist language to police “its” voters, it was spinning conspiracy theories to distance themselves from the shooter.

MSNBC disinformation reporter Brandy Zadrony told her liberal audience that, when accused murderer Tyler Robinson wrote left-wing hate messages including “fascist” on the shell casings intended to kill Kirk, Robinson may actually have been “trolling,” “making fun,” or even “trying to set up another ideological enemy for the shooting. It’s just impossible to say.”

Of course, a friend of Robinson’s from high school has confirmed the shooter is “pretty left on everything,” and while “the rest of his family was very hard Republican,” Robinson was “the only member of his family that was really leftist.”

Still, others also tried to paint Robinson as a MAGA murderer.

American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten reposted a message falsely claiming Robinson was a “right-winger who didn’t want Charlie Kirk to speak,’ so he “did what right-wingers do and shot him.”

She later deleted the message when it came out that Robinson was involved in a sexual relationship with his roommate, a transgender man who identifies as a woman.

Others gave up the tactic—and lied to make Kirk more conservative than he was.

Horror writer Stephen King conjured up a deadly fantasy, posting online that Charlie Kirk “advocated stoning gays to death. Just sayin.’” King’s words still carry so much weight that his lies were repeated by British TV personalities.

“King demonstrated the modern left’s moral rot,” wrote Georgina Mumford at Spiked.

LGBT writers shared the same discredited talking points.

“No, I won’t be shedding any tears for Charlie Kirk,” wrote Daniel Villarreal at LGBTQ Nation, claiming, “Kirk’s murder is shocking, but no less shocking than the decades-long, state-sanctioned violence committed against…immigrants and the poor…the sick and the old.”

He equated Charlie Kirk with people who “protest for social justice,” since conservatives “vilify them all as stupid and dangerous” and “mock them online.”

Left-wing publications piled on Kirk. Christopher Cook of the far-Left website Common Dreams wrote of“Charlie Kirk’s Toxic Legacy of Hatred and Division.”

Nation magazine ran an article titled “Let’s Not Forget Who Charlie Kirk Really Was,” which reminded readers of “the many despicable things he said and did.”

The legacy media have ignored this hatred, instead shifting into “conservatives pounce” mode.

“Right-wing anger surges as Kirk’s killing fuels calls for vengeance,” said Reuters.

“Charlie Kirk critics are being targeted online and losing jobs,” whined NPR.

The Left have come up with elaborate lies, conspiracy theories, and smears, because they can’t face the truth: Charlie Kirk was a Christian family man who spent his life debating political issues from his high school graduation until the day a rabid leftist shot him in the jugular vein, because the Left can’t handle disagreement.
