[WATCH] Tim Walz goes full “Hillary Clinton”

Failed Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and current Minnesota Governor Tim Walz continues to personally attack Republican voters — and he’s now taking a page out of twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s playbook.

Walz unloaded on Republicans during the Democratic Party’s summer meeting in a now viral clip that makes Clinton’s 2016 famed “basket of deplorables” comment seem like a friendly gesture.

During his address, Walz attacked a number of Republican-led efforts, including President Donald Trump’s efforts to root out race-based Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, and claimed that the Democratic Party should lean in on the policies over merit-based policies.

Walz also slammed Trump for using the National Guard to assist local D.C. law enforcement in cracking down on crime. This, despite Walz famously deploying his own state’s National Guard to enforce COVID-era restrictions in Minnesota.

Walz then quickly turned towards a personal attack against Republican voters, wildly saying: “Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican. ‘Oh what should I wear today? This stupid, friggin red hat. What should I say today? Oh I don’t know, just make sure it’s cruel. Who do we listen to? That guy? Oh, the felon in the White House? Yeah, I listen to him, and that will be fine.’”

Tim Walz says Democrats won't back down on DEI, attacks "cruel" and "fascist" Republicans

Walz continued — and seemingly doubled down — on his continued stance that Trump is a fascist.

“I always get in trouble for it, I’ll continue to say it. I don’t think we do any favors when we don’t name it. These are fascist policies,” he said.

“That is what they are … Now he’s talking about burning flags. He’s going to have flag burning or whatever, because he knows there’s a hell of a lot of flags with his picture on it that are going to get burned. There’s a whole lot of that kind of crap that people are sick of.”

Walz’s claims come as opponents continue to point out that Walz encouraged his state’s citizens to rat out fellow Minnesota citizen if they weren’t following COVID regulations.

Walz also used his speech to attack the press, complaining that there was no basis for media claims that there was a “division” within the Democratic Party.

“There’s a division in my damn house and we’re still married and things are good! That’s life.” Walz said.

Walz continues to have a knack for making shocking statements in front of the camera since his failed bid to become VP in 2024.

In April, Walz said he was selected by Kamala Harris as her running mate to connect with white male voters that the party has increasingly struggled to reach.

“I could code talk to White guys watching football, fixing their truck” and “put them at ease,” Walz said. The Minnesota governor described himself as the “permission structure” for white men from rural America to vote for Democrats.

Harris lost that demographic badly, 60 to 38 in President Donald Trump’s favor.
