Democrats think they have finally come up with the answer of how to get back into power after losing every swing state in America to President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance last November: They should quit talking—or at least, they should quit talking like Democrats.
An influential think tank has told Democrats to keep fighting for the same far-Left, radical agenda that alienated average voters last fall—but this time, hide your craziest ideas until after you’re elected.
In fact, a Democrat-aligned think tank has come up with a list of 44 words and phrases Democrats should quit saying between elections.
The list of forbidden words came from a group called Third Way in a memo published last Friday and addressed to “All Who Wish to Stop Donald Trump and MAGA.”
“For a party that spends billions of dollars trying to find the perfect language to connect to voters, Democrats and their allies use an awful lot of words and phrases no ordinary person would ever dream of saying,” states the memo, titled “Was It Something I Said?”
Using out-of-touch language makes Democrats “sound like the extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory, enforcers of wokeness.”
The list includes such Kamala Harris standards as “microaggression,” “holding space,” “systems of oppression,” and “cultural appropriation.”
The think tank breaks down the new out-of-bounds terminology into six categories:
“Therapy-speak” is language that tries to tell voters, “I’m more empathetic than you.”
“Seminar room language” screams, “I’m smarter and more concerned about important issues than you. Your kitchen table concerns are small.”
“Organizer jargon” let voters know Democrats “are beholden to groups, not individuals.”
There’s plenty of “gender/orientation correctness” and the “language of racial constructs,” where even the more extreme liberals “will be called out as racist if you do not use the latest and correct terminology,” like “Latinx.”
And they spend lots of time “explaining away crime,” blatantly admitting that, for Democrats, “the criminal is the victim. The victim is an afterthought.”
Then the memo gets down to specific campaign tactics for the midterms. Politico reporter Adam Wren calls what follows “the blue blacklist.”
Democrats have gone so far from reality that they need a think tank to remind them that mothers are not “pregnant people” or a “birthing person,” and they should stop using terms like “cisgender,” “deadnaming” (calling a transgender person by the name on his birth certificate), or calling people “heteronormative” or part of the “patriarchy.” And quit using the abbreviation LGBTQIA+ altogether.
Don’t talk about “critical theory” or “intersectionality” on the campaign trail, or telling voters to check their “privilege.” Stop going on about how running their heater or air conditioner will cause an “existential threat to the climate,” especially if you ride on private jets.
Democrats also shouldn’t call crooks “justice-involved” or “incarcerated people” engaged in “involuntary confinement.” (Is there any other kind?)
People know and care about the homeless and the poor; but stop calling them “unhoused” or saying starving people have “food and housing insecurity,” and stop calling every illegal alien just another “person who immigrated.”
“We are doing our best to get Democrats to talk like normal people and stop talking like they’re leading a seminar” at famously far-Left Antioch University, Third Way’s executive vice president of public affairs, Matt Bennett, told the “Politico playbook.”
Bennett says he wants Democrats to learn how to win “normie voters.”
“In reality, most Democrats do not run or govern on wildly out-of-touch social positions,” the group claims. It’s just that “much of the language above is a red flag for a sizable segment of the American public, not because “they are bigots, but because they fear cancellation, doxing, or trouble with HR if they make a mistake.”
And the Democrats say it could just be these normie voters are dumber than a box of rocks. “Or they simply don’t understand what these terms mean,” the memo says.
But even the Hollywood A-list has admitted Democrats look down on average voters.

No less a millionaire than Sarah Silverman said on her podcast earlier this month that Democrats and “the Left…is incredibly elitist.”
And ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel—who does not exactly wear a MAGA hat—agreed.
Sarah Silverman tells Jimmy Kimmel that the Democrat Party is elitist. He agrees.
Meanwhile, they’re both elitists.

The memo may be out—but Democrats have proved they definitely didn’t get it.
The Democratic Party just held its summer meeting in Minneapolis, where it began with a land acknowledgement that Minnesota actually belong to American Indian tribes.
Then, its speakers told Democrats not to care about street crime but to keep up therapy-speak.
“Don’t take the bait talking about migrant crime, or carjackings or the things that actually don’t matter to that many Americans,” speaker Insha Rahman of the Vera Institute told Democratic delegates. “Most Americans are more worried about how we’re going to address mental health issues…and how do we deal with mental health.”
The largest Democratic Party in America, the California Democratic Party, wants to make it impossible for you “to criticize persons, corporations or government” if they think you express “racial, religious, ethnic, gender identity, or sexual orientation discrimination.”
Use the wrong pronouns? You lose your First Amendment rights—especially since the party wants to crack down on anyone who would “justify discrimination or hate speech based on gender identity.”
They’ll throw you in the slammer if cisgender people enforcing the heteronormative patriarchy start deadnaming LGBTQIA+ pregnant people while they’re chestfeeding.
Sorry, if you say the wrong words, they’ll turn you into justice-involved individuals and, eventually, incarcerated persons.
The Left still hates you. They just don’t want to say these words again until they can force you to say them.
The Democrats’ disconnect with most American voters isn’t new: In fact, it goes back more than a decade.
A 2014 YouGov poll found that 51 percent of Democrats supported banning so-called “hate speech”—that is, “making it a criminal offense to make public statements” that liberal judges rule could “stir up hatred against particular groups of people,” like using the “wrong” pronouns.
As soon as they got into power in January 2021, House Democrats introduced rules to “strike ‘father, mother, son, daughter’” from the federal record and, in their place, “insert ‘parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling.’”
And that’s still the agenda their base wants them to pursue. In February, a majority of Americans told the Pew Research Center that it should be illegal to inflict transgender surgeries on minors—but only 35 percent of Democrats felt the same way.
It was enough to make some Democrats throw up their hands in frustration.

“It’s the definition of insanity: You just keep doing the same thing over and over again…We haven’t lost four-and-a-half million voters nor is our brand at an all-time low because we don’t fight hard enough. It’s because we remain comletely culturally disconnected, and we have absolutely no agenda,” former Democratic adviser Dan Turrentine told Laura Ingraham of Fox News on Wednesday.
“You add it all up, and we’re not in good shape,” said Turrentine.
To make matters worse, Third Way secretly wants Democrats to keep pushing the far-Left line, too…just quit talking about it out loud.
"It’s insanity—we keep doing the same thing. We didn’t lose 4.5M voters because we don’t fight hard enough. We’re culturally disconnected, no agenda, and all we offer are personal attacks, process arguments, and the press."– @danturrentine pic.twitter.com/E6R2gXdMwI

Democrats should hide their radicalism during elections, the memo states.
“We will never abandon our values or stop doing things to protect those who need help, encouragement, trust, a second chance, acceptance,” says Third Way. “The most important thing we can do for these people and causes is to build a bigger army to fight” President Trump and his MAGA voters.
Wasn’t that the strategy behind making Joe Biden the face of the Democratic Party in 2020?
For almost 50 years, Biden pretended to be “Lunch Box Joe” … but as soon as “he” got elected, “Sleepy” Joe sat by as his minions rammed through the most extreme theories, policies, and proposals.
That’s especially typical, since Third Way was founded 20 years ago by Clinton administration staffers. The man who’s been president of the group since its founding, Jonathan Cowan, worked as Clinton’s chief of staff at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) its secretary, Andrew Cuomo. In between the Clinton administration and starting Third Way, Cowan led a gun control group called “Americans for Gun Safety.”
Third Way’s executive vice president of policy, Jim Kessler, used to work for Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
Once in office, no ideology ever becomes so radical enough to lose its place at the Resolute Desk: DEI, CRT, and LGBTQIA+ (especially the plus).
Consider yourself warned: Democrats plan to stop using offensive words—but, if they get elected, they plan to keep giving voters crazy policies, good and hard.
