In the wake of the Trump administration’s recent federal takeover of the Washington, D.C. police force in an effort to curb violent crime crippling the nation’s capital, critics and city officials continue to push back on the move, insisting that crime in D.C. has been “going down” for years.
But in a shocking twist, White House officials just unveiled that they have shocking proof that D.C.’s crime has been spiraling out of control — and that city officials were doctoring its crime data to make the city appear safer than it really was.
Speaking from the Oval Office yesterday, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller gave additional details about how the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department was allegedly cooking the books on data in order to make the argument crime was going down.
“When we share the results, it will stun you,” Miller said.
“There are even accusations that murders and homicides were reported as accidents not murders. This is how severe the manipulation of the crime data has been in this city. It will all be uncovered and it will all be brought to light.”
🚨@StephenM says a MASSIVE crime doctoring SCANDAL will soon be brought to light.

While speaking to the media, Miller anecdotally said that the results of the investigation yielded shocking manipulation — including accusations that murders & homicides were reported as accidents instead of murders.
Coinciding with a federal takeover of the DC police force, which included a deployment of National Guard troops, the Department of Justice launched an investigation into manipulated crime stats last week, which was led by newly-appointed U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro leading the way.
The inquiry comes after a police commander was suspended for allegedly manipulating data, according to reports from local affiliate NBC 4 Washington.
“A D.C. police commander is under investigation for allegedly making changes to crime statistics in his district. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Michael Pulliam was placed on paid administrative leave in mid-May. That happened just a week after Pulliam filed an equal employment opportunity complaint against an assistant chief and the police union accused the department of deliberately falsifying crime data, according to three law enforcement sources familiar with the complaint,” NBC 4 Washington reported.
“The union claims police supervisors in the department manipulate crime data to make it appear violent crime has fallen considerably compared to last year.”
The D.C. police union says false reporting is a regular occurrence and that local data cannot be trusted.
Meanwhile, since the crackdown from the Trump administration, crime has declined markedly in the district with law enforcement conducting more than 1,000 arrests and taking more than 110 guns off the street since Aug. 13.
And, there have been no murders in DC in 12 days.
