Kamala Harris suddenly in big trouble: Federal investigation next?

“On the Holmes Front” with Frank Holmes

This time last year, Kamala Harris seemed to have it made.

The sitting vice president of a mentally incompetent president had just been handed the Democratic presidential nomination, adulatory media coverage, and a billion dollars spent convincing voters that “joy” lies just around the corner.

Fast forward one year, and the washed-up former pol who blew through a billion-dollar war chest faces voters who never want to see or hear from her again—and that’s just within her own party.

As humiliating as it felt for her to bow out of the California governor’s race, Harris may have just gotten her worst news yet: Her next residence may not be as palatial as the governor’s mansion in Sacramento.

Her next digs might be a small cell inside the Big House.

House Republicans have demanded Democrats tell them who ran the White House for the last four years—because nobody believes it was Joe Biden.

The 46th president’s mental decline kept him conveniently out of the way for unelected, ultra-liberal staffers who ran their favorite legislation through the autopen machine.

The GOP’s investigation into Biden’s mental incapacity could mean every one of the thousands of people he handed a presidential pardon could lose their immunity—everyone except former First Son, Hunter Biden, the only person whose pardon Biden signed personally.

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., is promising more Democrats will need to get clemency for their role in running a four-year-long shadow government—and Kamala Harris is in his crosshairs.

“That’s another great thing about Kamala Harris not running for governor: She’s going to have more time to come before the House Oversight Committee and testify about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline,” Comer told Fox News host Laura Ingraham last Tuesday.

The Kentucky Republican predicted the “odds of a subpoena” ending up in Kamala Harris’ hands run “very high” during the July 30 interview.

Comer started slapping Biden aides with a legal summons last July, saying they had turned the White House into an inflated “protective bubble” around the 81-year-old career politician.

Comer called three Biden aides—Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams—to the stand. Two of the three—Bernal and Tomasini—took the Fifth Amendment.

Now, Comer is ready to move up the Biden administration food chain.

“We’ve started with the lower-level staffers that we think were the ones that actually put the documents in the autopen and pressed power,” Comer explained last month. “Now we’re moving up to the people that we think told the staffers to use the autopen.”

But does Comer believe that big names—like Harris and former first lady Jill Biden—should be subjected to a summer grilling in front of Congress?

“Well, I think they should,” said Comer. “They should have already issued statements. They should have already done public relations campaign to sit down and answer questions. They should go on FOX, they should go on CNN and answer questions.”

Instead, the entire administration is trying to slam the door shut and change the subject.

In May, former Obama insider David Axelrod scolded Republicans that any probe into the manipulation of a dementia-ridden president “should be more muted and set aside for now.”

That may come out of fear for his current employer, CNN, whose coverage of Biden lit a “credibility bonfire” wrote James Antle at the Washington Examiner. “An appropriately skeptical press would have asked consistently penetrating questions about the oldest president in history and continued to press the issue when it was clear the White House was hiding something (often, the president himself). Instead, they often supplied a megaphone to the defenses of Biden in what were meant to be straight news stories.”

Antle slammed the Fake News “media, which had in many cases mishandled stories ranging from Trump-Russia to the 2023-24 lawfare campaigns against the former and future president.”

Antle is a conservative, but writers on both sides of the political spectrum agree the media coverage was a sham. “The editors who drove a lot of these coverage decisions will remain quiet and hidden,” wrote Axios reporter Marc Caputo on X. “They’ll never fess up. They’ll never look inward.” They’re too busy looking downward on the average Joes they hold in contempt.

They’ll never fess up

They’ll never look inward

They’ll let the reporters take the criticism for the decisions they made https://t.co/k1qYcpbHgM

But longtime readers of The Horn know that criticism doesn’t stick to us. We cover the facts from every angle, but one posture always dominates: We look outward to you, the working men and women, the retirees trying to make ends meet, the grandparents doing their best to lead their families through a hostile environment compounded by the lies and distortiosn of snooty reporters, driven by elite financiers and slimier-than-thou Democrats like Harris. Now Kamala Harris may pay the price for spinning the legacy press so hard for so long.

It’s nice to see even the snooty set has to face the music for abusing the American people, once in a while.
