FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino posted a powerful message on social media over the weekend, revealing that he has uncovered evidence of government corruption and political weaponization that has “shocked” him “down to [his] core” and changed him forever.
“During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening,” Bongino wrote on his official X account.
“The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us,” he wrote.
“But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core,” he warned. “We cannot run a Republic like this.”
“I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned,” he said.
Bongino assured the American people that he and FBI Director Kash Patel are conducting thorough investigations into the massive corruption.
“We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law,” he stressed.
“We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not ‘my truth,’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH.”

The deputy director has faced internal tensions within the administration, particularly with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the mishandling of the Epstein files investigation to the American public.
Bongino’s message was clearly meant to demonstrate his commitment to continuing the work of cleaning up federal law enforcement. He noted that while he is not as publicly visible as he was during his podcast days, “things are happening” behind the scenes.
Bongino later quote retweeted his post with a link to a Just The News story titled “2016 intel report said Kremlin preferred GOP over Dems — but actual history tells a different story,” referencing the “Russiagate” controversies that plagued Trump’s first term.
His previous post on Friday struck a much more upbeat tone about FBI operations.
“We’re right around the 6 month mark, and thanks to the leadership of this administration and the work of our men and women of law enforcement, there is no doubt our country is safer today than it was in January,” he wrote about “efforts out of [the] FBI to defend the homeland and protect Americans from threats here at home and around the world.”

The deputy director did not provide specifics for when information on his shocking discoveries would be released to the public. But conducting investigations “by the book” says Americans may soon learn what has been uncovered.
We can only hope it’s more than has been released about Epstein’s client list.
