President Donald Trump’s unusual iPhone lock screen wallpaper just went viral – and liberal social media users are losing their mind after discovering it’s a photo of the man himself.
Trump was photographed getting off Air Force One following a trip to Pittsburgh, proudly brandishing his phone for all to see. The image: His iconic self-portrait wallpaper from July 2019.
The left-wing internet immediately erupted into hysteria, with one X user having a complete meltdown.
“Trump’s lock screen was spotted on his phone last night—and it was a photo of himself. Is that not one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed things you’ve ever seen??? Not his family, not his kids, but himself. Wtf…”
The Atlantic published a “troubling account” of Trump’s phone habits, breathlessly reporting that Trump “likes to call people. He likes to be called. Unknown numbers come with a thrill akin to putting a coin in a gumball machine and waiting to see which flavor rolls out.”
The image itself perfectly captures Trump’s energy, supporters countered: photographed by Getty’s Chip Somodevilla on July 19, 2019, it shows Trump pointing straight ahead in a pose reminiscent of the iconic Uncle Sam recruiting poster. He was departing the White House en route to a fundraiser at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club – still a regular destination on his travel schedule.
Internet sleuths first tracked down this image back in 2020 when it was spotted in photos, proving Trump has been consistently using the photo for years.
Conservative influencer Benny Johnson posted simply: “President Trump’s lock screen” with a fire emoji. His followers understood the assignment, replying “Based!” and “Even his lock screen has aura.”

The timing of this latest liberal meltdown is particularly perfect, coming just days before the White House revealed Trump’s new official presidential portrait – showing him looking straight ahead over a dark background, replacing an earlier portrait that critics compared to his mug shot.
This is President Trumps new official portrait, it will be displayed prominently in all federal buildings, military installations, and the White House portrait gallery. Looking good Mr Trump!…. pic.twitter.com/BFyZzQOzJs

The Washington Post recently documented Trump’s social media activity at 2,262 posts in the last 132 days. The White House called him “the most transparent president in history” who is “meeting the American people where they are.”
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung declined to “discuss or disclose security measures regarding the President, especially to The Atlantic” and called them a hostile media outlet.
Trump has five children and 11 grandchildren he could feature on his lock screen, plus a former model wife, but he chooses himself – and that choice drives liberals absolutely insane.
The meltdown over this wallpaper is just another example of Trump living rent-free in their heads.
The best part? This isn’t even new.
Trump has been using this same wallpaper since at least 2023
