“On the Holmes Front” with Frank Holmes
From the minute Joe Biden went from his basement to the Oval Office, everyone had one question: Who’s really running the White House?
Now, a few investigative reporters think they have found the answer behind Joe Biden’s handlers, autopen signatures, and decision making over four years — and it may explain a lot about the misguided, wrongheaded, strength-sapping policies enacted by the last administration.
CNN talking head Jake Tapper says the real leader of the Biden family from January 20, 2021 through January 20, 2025, was none other than Hunter Biden.
“Hunter was driving the decision-making for the family in a way that people—he was almost like a chief of staff of the family,” said Tapper on the podcast Next Question With Katie Couric. “It’s bizarre, because I think he is provably, demonstrably, unethical, sleazy and prone to horrible decisions.”
“Tell me how you really feel!” said Katie Couric with the same sassy energy as in the 1990s when the tired phrase was a hot, zany comeback.
“Just look at the record,” said Tapper. “After his brother (Beau Biden) died, he cheated on his wife with his brother’s widow and then got her addicted to crack. That’s just one thing I could say,” Tapper continued, as though it were news.
“I don’t have a lot of personal regard for him,” Tapper added, certain it would crush Hunter’s tender feelings. “
“The idea of letting (Hunter) drive the family car, as it were, is just really, really questionable,” Tapper told Katie Couric, the former hostess of NBC’s Today show and a rabid liberal, while selling his new book, Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.
Some think the fact that Tapper mentions the younger Biden proves he is telling the truth. “The book is about Joe Biden and his top staff, not about Hunter,” wrote John Sexton at HotAir.com. “The fact that he’s attacking Tapper instead suggests Tapper had a point about who was driving the Biden family car, so to speak.”
Hunter Biden’s biggest public contribution to the Biden administration was selling his “artwork,” and possibly sparking a manhunt for the person who left cocaine in the White House.
U.S. Secret Service agents found a bag of cocaine in the White House on July 2, 2023. They uncovered the bag of white powder in a part of the West Wing lobby usually used by White House staffers and visitors, as well as a few tour groups.
And Robert Hunter Biden.
It could be true: If the last four years seemed like what our country would look like if the government were run by a crackhead, you may have been right. But there’s reason to think the whole thing is a cover story.

First, Tapper is an establishment hack with no interest in losing access to Democratic Party kingmakers. And as it turns out, Tapper and Hunter Biden have bad blood from way back.
Supposedly, Tapper called Hunter Biden on the phone and, when he answered, “Biden’s son allegedly bluntly said: ‘Go f–k yourself, Jake,’” reported the New York Post. “Several witnesses” said “they saw Hunter put his arm around Tapper’s shoulders before telling him that ‘I would knock you out’ if they weren’t in a public setting.”
Tapper’s spokesman also denied the whole confrontation. “The idea that Jake could do something so heartless – and yet the Bidens would subsequently offer him multiple sit-down interviews as well as agree to him moderating the debate, all without anyone hearing about it until now – completely defies logic,” said Tapper’s spokesman, denying the exact criticisms Tapper made publicly with Couric.
It's amazing how easy it is to be honest when you're trying to sell a book instead of trying to get your preferred candidate elected. pic.twitter.com/TvHffE19XP

More importantly, people closer to the investigation say that’s not the case: People inside the administration kept the show going while Joe Biden served as a figurehead.
“The gatekeepers were [Ron] Klain, Anita Dunn, and Bob Bauer,” U.S. Attorney Ed Martin told Mark Halperin.
Others did not name names, but said the walls are closing in quick.
“We think we’ve identified who the staffers are,” Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., told Fox News, saying he would interview every suspect—if necessary, under subpoena.
Rep. James Comer believes they've identified the staffers involved "in the use of the autopen" when Biden was "clearly in mental decline."

Americans deserve to know who held the pen that drove their country into a ditch over the last four years—and whether he had a crack pipe in the other hand.
