President Joe Biden’s administration has been quietly selling off unfinished pieces of President-elect Donald Trump’s border wall materials, a move critics call an attempt to hinder President-elect Trump’s border security plans/.
The Biden administration’s moves come as new polling shows strong public support for enhanced border measures.
“They are taking it from three sections: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” a border agent told The Daily Wire on condition of anonymity. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”
Footage shows flatbed trucks hauling dismantled wall sections to Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona, where they’re being auctioned through GovPlanet starting at $5 per section. The materials, worth up to $300 million, have sat unused since Biden halted construction in 2021.
“The Biden Administration is well aware they shouldn’t have reversed the construction of the border wall,” Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., said. “If it’s true, they’re purposefully hamstringing an incoming president, it wouldn’t be shocking.”
The controversial move comes as a new CNBC All-America Economic Survey shows 60% of Americans support deploying military forces immediately to help stop illegal border crossings and drug trafficking, with an additional 13% backing such action later in Trump’s term.
Only 24% oppose the measure, including just 12% of independents and 3% of Republicans.
“When Trump comes back, and he wants to start the border wall all over again, the whole entire funding fight is gonna happen again,” the border agent warned. “That’s their play. He’s gonna have to fight for this — again.”
Trump spent $15 billion during his first term installing about 450 miles of barriers, with 250 additional miles in progress when he left office.
He has pledged to resume construction upon taking office in January, alongside a mass deportation effort targeting those convicted of crimes.
The Tucson sector, where materials are being removed, reported 55,223 illegal crossings in fiscal year 2024, the highest of any border patrol region. Since October 1, there have been 11,454 such reports.
While Biden officials claim the sale of the border wall pieces is following standard federal procedures, the timing has raised concerns.
“Why would they want to see President Trump succeed with policies they aggressively sabotaged?” Crane asked.
Trump himself addressed the situation on Monday. Take a look —
