Kamala Harris quietly flees the U.S. mainland

It’s a move you’d probably expect from her boss, President Joe Biden.

But Vice President Kamala Harris has taken a fresh page out of Biden’s book and suddenly left the United States, leaving many wondering…

“Who is in charge!?”

Despite hemorrhaging millions of dollars on her failed presidential campaign, which ended up in oodles of debt even though her campaign managed to raise a billion dollars, Harris isn’t working to restore that lost money, or even fulfill her duties as Vice President with just a few weeks left in office.

Harris has been spotted vacationing in Hawaii.

Harris arrived in Kalaoa, Hawaii last Tuesday for what is expected to be a weeklong trip. According to insiders, the trip is a break from the rigorous campaign schedule she kept over the last couple of months but also from her duties as vice president, where she retains her tie-breaking vote as president of the Senate during the last few months of President Biden’s administration.

However, the timing of Harris’ trip has generated questions even within her own party as many DNC staffers are uncertain about their futures while others had been surprised by sudden layoffs.

According to NBC News, despite her vacation, Harris is still expected to play a major role in helping President Biden push through several judges as Democrats race against the clock to top the 234 that were confirmed during Donald Trump’s first term.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended Harris’ vacation during a press briefing late last week, saying there was nothing “wrong” with the vice president taking a vacation.

“The vice president has taken time off to go spend time with her family. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think she deserves some time to be with her family and to have some downtime. She has worked very hard over – for the last four years, and her taking a couple of days to be with her family, good for her. Good for her,” Jean-Pierre said.

Harris is expected to return in time to be available for important votes on judges.

As for Joe Biden? Reports indicate that he is also on another vacation, this time in Nantucket.

You’d assume that both Biden and Harris would have plenty of time to vacation, relax, and unwind after Donald Trump is sworn into office in January.

But it appears they couldn’t wait that long.
