Hollywood elite begin fleeing Trump’s America

Dating as far back as the days of George W. Bush’s presidency, the liberal Hollywood elite have been long claiming that they will “leave” the United States.

They never do, of course. But they sure love talking about it with Donald Trump.

But with the reality of another Trump presidency just a few weeks away, the rabid elite from Hollywood are finally starting to put their money where their mouth is, with one star already prepping to pack her and her family up to leave the US.

Actress Eva Longoria told Marie Claire magazine that she’s “privileged” to have the resources to move her family out of what she calls a “dystopian” United States.

Longoria, who was born in Texas and is of Tejano descent, is now splitting her time between Mexico and Spain.

“I had my whole adult life here,” Longoria told the outlet of the United States.

“But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”

But is she staying out of the country for good because of the 2024 election?

Longoria didn’t hide her disdain for the election results, saying: “The shocking part is not that [Donald] Trump won,” she said. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.”

“If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place,” Longoria added.

“It was like, ‘Does my vote really matter? Am I really making a difference?’” she told the outlet. “I was so untethered to the core of what I believe because I truly believed in my soul that the best person wins. And then that happened, and I was like, ‘Oh, wait. The best person doesn’t win.’”

Longoria said she’s “privileged” to be able to leave the country.

“I get to escape and go somewhere,” she said. “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

According to report, Longoria is currently living outside of the U.S. with her third husband, José Bastón, and their 6-year-old son Santiago. Longoria said she travels to Europe and South America for work but does not usually return to Los Angeles.
