The ink is barely dry from the 2024 presidential election, but bettors in Las Vegas are already speculating who will be the next president in 2028.

And you can bet money on it, if you’re feeling lucky.

The betting market successfully predicted states more accurately than most public polls this week. And now one of the biggest better markets is lining up the best bets for 2028, with some surprising names already in the mix.

According to Bookies.com here are the best odds and probabilities as of Wednesday morning:

  1. JD Vance (R) | +450 (18.2%)
  2. Gavin Newsom (D) | +575 (14.8%)
  3. Ron DeSantis (R) | +700 (12.5%)
  4. Michelle Obama (D) | +950 (9.5%)
  5. Josh Shapiro (D) | +1000 (9.1%)
  6. Kamala Harris (D) |+1200 (7.7%)
  7. Andy Beshear (D) | +1200 (7.7%)
  8. Nikki Haley (R) | +1200 (7.7%)
  9. Vivek Ramaswamy (R) | +1300 (7.1%)
  10. Wes Moore (D) | +1700 (5.6%)
  11. Tom Cotton (R) | +2000 (4.8%)
  12. Glenn Youngkin (R) | +2500 (3.9%)
  13. Aaron Rodgers (I) | +3000 (3.2%)
  14. Dwayne Johnson (D) | +3500 (2.8%)
  15. Mark Cuban (D) | +3500 (2.8%)
  16. The Field | +2000 (4.8)

At first glance, it appears that Vegas like JD Vance as the betting favoring as Donald Trump will not be able to run again in 2028.

Kamala Harris is much further down the list, with California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro with a better betting chance (despite Harris not selecting Shapiro has her running mate).

Missing from the list was Harris’ running mate in 2024, Tim Walz.

Other names of note outside the world of politics include New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (who toyed with being a potential running mate with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.), actor Dwayne Johnson, and Mark Cuban.
