Exactly one week before Election Day, you’d think that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., would be pulling out all the stops to help get her fellow Democrat Kamala Harris elected.
But in case of terrible timing (at least for the Harris campaign), Ocasio-Cortez is spewing negative press about Harris and her campaign, which is the last thing she wants to see from her own party at this stage of the game.
While insisting they are “on the same team”, AOC says that many people within the Democratic Party are not happy with Harris over her campaign appearances with Republican Liz Cheney.

AOC was asked by CNN host Kate Bolduan on Monday about Harris’ comments calling Cheney a “true patriot,” wondering whether that might actually hurt Democrats with left-wing voters.
Cheney, a vocal anti-Trump Republican, has appeared on the campaign trail with Harris several times.
“There’s plenty of people that aren’t happy about that and I think that is part of the nature of putting together a coalition,” she said.
“I don’t love it, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t on the same team and we aren’t on the same page when it comes to who is unequivocally the better candidate in order to win the presidential election,” she added.
Other Democrats have been upset with Harris’ decision to bring on Liz Cheney ahead of the election, suggesting she should focus more on her Democratic base, with progressive leaders like Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., being “relegated to low-profile roles,” according to the Associated Press (AP).
“The truth of the matter is that there are a hell of a lot more working-class people who could vote for Kamala Harris than there are conservative Republicans,” Sanders, told the AP.
The one-sided feud with AOC and Harris isn’t anything new (at least lately.
AOC issued a stunning warning Harris over the potential removal of Federal Trade Commission Chairperson Lina Khan from her role — and threatened to “brawl” over her replacement.
“Let me make this clear, since billionaires have been trying to play footsie with the ticket: Anyone goes near Lina Khan and there will be an out and out brawl,” Ocasio-Cortez warned on X.
“And that is a promise. She proves this admin fights for working people. It would be terrible leadership to remove her.”

AOC erupted after billionaire Democrat Mark Cuban, a prominent Harris campaign surrogate and NBA owner, suggested that Harris should replace Khan if she wins on November 5.
