Chris Cuomo unloads on Doug Emhoff domestic violence scandal

Days after a Daily Mail report in which three unnamed sources accused Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff of having slapped a former girlfriend during a 2012 trip to the Cannes Film Festival, the Emhoff camp has denied he did anything.

“This report is untrue,” an unnamed representative for Emhoff told news outlet Semafor. “Any suggestion that he would or has ever hit a woman is false.”

Despite the Emhoff’s denial, the story has been kept under wraps with mainstream media outlets.

And NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo isn’t thrilled about it.

Cuomo, along with outspoken media personalities Bill O’Reilly, and Stephen A. Smith slammed the media for ignoring the aforementioned story published by the Daily Mail this week that detailed accusations that Emhoff, struck his girlfriend in the face because he thought she was flirting with another man.

According to Cuomo, the story is being silenced because it’s not connected to Donald Trump.

“If the name were Trump instead of Emhoff in this story, it would be all over the news right now,” Cuomo said on his NewsNation show.

“If it were Trump or anyone related to him, it would be on every TV show that is on right now,” Cuomo added. “And that’s why I think of the interest of fairness you should look at it.”

Smith, a vocal critic of Trump, agreed.

“In fairness to Donald Trump, which is not something you hear me or most people say all the time, it is absolutely true if this were him, it would be all over the place. It would be printed. It would be publicized everywhere.”

“We also have to take into account 2018 when then-Senator Kamala Harris, obviously, when the whole Brett Kavanaugh situation, when Brett Kavanaugh was obviously running for the Supreme Court … I remember her wearing all black and saying she was wearing all black, and ‘I wore black today in support of all survivors of sexual assault or abuse,’” Smith continued. “And it was a hashtag, #BelieveSurvivors, etc, etc. And so when you do something like that, it’s going to be politicized.”

O’Reilly took things further by pointing out that progressive movements like Me Too and Time’s Up have said nothing about the alleged attack.

“But if it were a Republican or conservative, they would be denying the person accused of due process, because that’s what they do, unless it’s someone on [their] side,” he said.

Smith agreed, saying that the “bias”, “favoritism”, and “lack of neutrality” in the media was a serious issue.

Check out the entirety of Cuomo, O’Reilly, and Smith’s conversation. Do you agree with them?
