Biden-Harris sex scandal rocks campaign trail, secret service

A new sex scandal has just ripped through both Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign and the Biden-Harris White House.

Another Secret Service agent has been placed on administrative leave, this time following allegations of sexual assault against a member of Harris’ staff. The incident reportedly occurred in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during the week of September 15, 2024.

According to sources within the Secret Service, the alleged assault took place as part of an advance team preparing for a planned campaign event for Vice President Harris.

The event, originally scheduled for Friday, September 20, was later canceled.

The accused agent and several members of Harris’ staff were dining and consuming alcohol at a local restaurant after completing their work. The group then returned to a hotel room occupied by the female staffer. It was there that the agent allegedly “forced himself” on the woman and groped her, actions that were witnessed by others present.

A Secret Service source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told RealClearPolitics that the agent became heavily intoxicated.

“The accused agent was so inebriated that he was kicked out of his hotel room by co-workers and passed out in the hallway, where photos were taken of him,” the source stated.

Upon learning of the incident, senior Secret Service officials summoned the accused agent to agency headquarters in Washington, D.C. for a meeting with investigators from the Inspections Division on Monday, September 23.

A Secret Service spokesman confirmed the investigation in a statement.

The U.S. Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating a misconduct allegation involving an employee. The Secret Service holds its personnel to the highest standards. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

The Office of the Vice President has also acknowledged the incident.

“The Office of the Vice President takes the safety of staff seriously. We have zero tolerance for sexual misconduct. Senior OVP officials were alerted by the USSS about an incident involving an agent and informed that USSS initiated an investigation,” a Harris spokesperson said.

This incident follows a series of controversies involving the Secret Service. In July, the agency faced criticism after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Then-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned in August following public backlash.

Other recent incidents include reports of an agent allegedly abandoning her post to breastfeed without permission while on duty protecting Trump, the accidental honoring of radical Islamic terrorists on September 11, and allegations that agents broke into a local business and tampered with security cameras.

The Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General and the Department of Homeland Security have both released reports outlining failures within the Secret Service, particularly concerning the July 13 assassination attempt.

In response to these issues, Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has proposed a continuing resolution spending bill that would provide an additional $231 million in funding for the Secret Service.

The investigation into the alleged assault in Wisconsin is ongoing. The Secret Service has not released any further details about the accused agent or the specific charges being considered.
