In the aftermath of the highly-watched presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, an alleged ABC News whistleblower has reported come forward with an affidavit that the event was rigged in favor of the Democratic nominee.

The claims, which have spread rapidly on social media, remain unverified. Critics has dismissed the claims as baseless. However, a former advisor to the Clinton family has called for a formal investigation into the allegations.

The controversy began when a self-proclaimed whistleblower announced plans to release an affidavit alleging debate misconduct.

“I have just signed a non-disclosure agreement with the attorney of the whistleblower. The affidavit states how the Harris campaign was given sample question which were essentially the same questions that were given during the debate and separate assurances of fact checking Donald Trump and that she would NOT be fact checked,” wrote a conservative journalist on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The allegations further claim that “several other factors that were built into the debate to give Kamala a significant advantage.” The whistleblower promised to release a redacted version of the affidavit “before the weekend is out.”

These claims quickly went viral. Critics say the whistleblower affidavit hasn’t yet been made public, and therefore there’s no concrete proof of the explosive claims. They’ve dismissed them as a conspiracy theory.

In response, activist Mark Penn ahas urged an immediate investigation into whether these bombshell allegations are true.

The claims went viral on social media Friday.

BREAKING: ABC whistleblower allegedly will release an affidavit claiming the Harris campaign was given sample questions that were “essentially the same questions that were given during the debate,” as well as assurances that Trump would be “fact-checked” and she would not.

The debate format itself, moderated by ABC News’ David Muir and Linsey Davis, has been a subject of controversy.

Trump and his allies have accused the moderators of bias, with Trump suggesting he was in a “3 vs 1 argument.”

Neither the Trump nor Harris campaigns have officially responded to the whistleblower allegations. Earlier in the week, Trump declined Harris’s challenge for another debate, stating on Truth Social, “Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate.”

With over 67 million viewers tuning in to the debate, the impact of these unverified whistleblower claims on public perception remains to be seen.
