Riding high from what most universally believe was Kamala Harris’ strong debate performance against Donald Trump earlier this week, Vice Presidential candidate and Harris’ running mate Tim Walz is now hitting the campaign trail solo to ratchet up support for Harris.
Unfortunately for Walz, what momentum he perhaps carried with him into a Michigan rally yesterday completely crashed and burned after he slipped up and called Harris something completely unsavory.
And it made some of President Joe Biden’s on-camera gaffes look pedestrian.
At a campaign event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Walz accidentally referred to Harris as a “prostitute” when touting Harris’ record as a lawyer and prosecutor in California.
“As a young prostituter, Kamala Harris talked about going into that courtroom for the first time,” he said. “Kamala Harris, for the people.”

Walz of course meant to say “prosecutor”, but it’s clear he knew that he slipped up in the most humiliating way as he seemed to swallow hard after that and try to move on.
But there was no taking a comment like that back — even if it was an accident.
Needless to say, conservative pundits and Trump allies had a field day with this one, including Donald Trump, Jr.

Walz and his team have not commented on the event.
