While Vice President Kamala Harris is still mulling over potential running mates, former president Donald Trump is moving full steam ahead with his campaign.

And he’s already toying with some big names to fill some major seats within his potential cabinet — including a couple names he floated as his VP.

According to Axios, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Gov. Doug Burgum, R-N.D., two of Trump’s former top candidates for vice president, are reportedly both being considered for secretary of state, Trump sources told the outlet.

Burgum was also noted as a potential contender for energy secretary.

Sens. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., are also in the running for secretary of state, according to the latest report from Trump sources.

Other close GOP allies are reportedly being considered for positions in a potential Cabinet.

The report stated that top Trump advisor Susie Wiles is reportedly a top candidate for chief of staff.

And somewhat of a surprise, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is also a contender for the role, according to the report.

Other names that could fill a Trump cabinet include Trump 2024 senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita as a counselor or senior adviser role, and Stephen Miller, who previously served in the White House and currently works as senior adviser to the former president, could also be considered for a counselor or senior adviser position.

It was also recently report that Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, is reportedly a contender for treasury secretary, while Ric Grenell, former acting director of U.S. national intelligence, is being considered for national security adviser.

Trump has not yet officially confirmed any of the Cabinet appointments for his administration if he wins the upcoming 2024 election.
