Vice President Kamala Harris is caught in a possibly career-ending contradiction.
Harris, who is poised to become the Democratic presidential candidate this fall as they desperately hope to stop former President Donald Trump from returning to power, is being ripped apart by two mutually exclusive claims from her followers.
Democrats say Kamala Harris was never the Border Czar… and that she sucks at it.
As she tries to distance herself from the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous border record Harris — who has never been popular with voters or even her own paid staff — has come under fire from fellow Democrats for her “failure to secure the United States border” as “Border Czar.”
That language comes from a Republican bill, House Resolution 1371, which passed the House of Representatives Thursday morning, 220-196.
That’s almost a party-line vote…but not quite.
Six Democrats voted for the measure, denouncing their own presidential candidate as a border failure.
When Joe Biden’s first Border Czar, Roberta Jacobson, quit just 100 days into his administration, Biden appointed Kamala Harris to fill those shoes.
The rest is history—a history Harris wants to erase.
But the bipartisan condemnation of her ongoing tenure as Border Czar won’t let her.
The resolution remembers that Kamala Harris waited 93 days before making a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it visit to the southern border…at El Paso, hundreds of miles away from the epicenter of the illegal alien crisis, the lower Rio Grande. Even the left-wing website The Daily Beast dragged Harris, saying, “Kamala Harris Finally Visits the Border—800 Miles From Where the Action is.”
United States Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified he had “never had one conversation” with Kamala Harris. So did Jason Owens, who succeeded Ortiz as the nation’s top border cop.
Well, actually, America’s second most important border enforcement officer, after the Border Czar, Kamala Harris.
The results are obvious. A record-breaking 9.7 million illegal immigrant encounters in the United States—including 7.9 million at the southern border. That doesn’t consider the fact that, “since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office, there have been roughly 2 million known gotaways who evaded the United States Border Patrol,” says the resolution. That’s “more known gotaways than in the previous decade combined.”
No wonder Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party—including its media manipulation operation—wants to forget her leading role in opening America’s borders.
But a video montage has appeared showing the same networks now denying Kamala Harris was ever “border czar” calling her by that title.

It’s not just TV. For instance, the left-leaning “news” website Axios reported in April 2021 that Kamala “Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the ‘root causes’ that drive migration.”
That’s why the bill calls Harris “Border Czar” eight times.
The bill “strongly condemns the Biden Administration and its Border Czar, Kamala Harris’s, failure to secure the United States border” and that “he continuation of the Biden, Harris border policies would be disastrous for both the United States and the American people.”
So while Democrats try to claim Kamala Harris was never the Border Czar, six Democratic congressmen said she is and that she is a spectacular “failure” at it.
For the record, those Democrats are Reps. Rep. Yadira Caraveo of Colorado, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Jared Golden of Maine, Mary Peltola of Alaska, and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington.
Cuellar, whose district includes part of the border, has been so outspoken against the border that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Corez, D-N.Y., targeted him in his last election. (He won, anyway.)
“We’ve got to do more to deport folks,” said Cuellar…in 2021.

These Democrats know exactly what’s at stake: “Fentanyl flows across (the Mexican border) and all the way up to Alaska,” said Peltola is in her first term as Republican Alaska’s only representative after beating Sarah Palin.
But so much of this is business as usual. All six face difficult races…and all are liberals.
So far, Peltola has not publicly endorsed Harris for president. But do you have to guess who she’ll vote for in November?

Golden has flip-flopped on Kamala Harris, at one point saying, unlike Biden, at least she’s “capable of finishing the next four-year term.” But then he said he’s “absolutely not” going to endorse her just yet, since he’s waiting to see “her vision for the future of the country.”
Rep. Don Davis, who has posed as a huge foe of Biden and Harris on the border endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Friday, effectively voting for four more years of Democrats’ open border policies.

Harris’ vision for the future is the same as it has been for four years: millions of illegal aliens a year flooding the border and signing onto the voter rolls.
The fact that any Democrats voted to condemn Kamala Harris as “Border Czar” is a useful campaign talking point. Tell others about it. Post it on social media. If you wish, remember their names.
But the names we should remember are Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungary, and Rachel Morin. We would love to remember the accomplishments they would have made if they lived their full lives, reached their potential, and touched the world with their life and their smile.
Instead, we can only touch their graves, wipe away our tears, and hope to wipe the 12 years of Obama-Biden-Harris open borders policies out of America’s history, before those policies wipe America out of history.
