CNN wants Tucker Carlson canceled and are trying to bully Ticketmaster into dropping its involvement with Tucker Carlson’s upcoming “The End of Men” speaking tour.
Ticketmaster must answer for why they’re not censoring Carlson, CNN’s Oliver Darcy recently wrote.
Darcy, who covers the media and was a frequent critic of Carlson’s former show on Fox News for years, is demanding Carlson’s upcoming tour be canceled because it’s too dangerous.
In the piece titled “Tucker Carlson is going on tour. Ticketmaster is profiting off his hateful rhetoric,” Darcy complained about Carlson’s next move — and went completely unhinged.
He decried Carlson as a “lying conspiracy theorist spreading dangerous disinformation” and called Carlson’s show “the most racist program in the history of cable news.” Darcy also attacked some of Carlson’s special guest speakers like Alex Jones, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-G.A., and Donald Trump Jr.
What Carlson has to say is dangerous, Darcy said — so he’s trying to stop the sale of tickets through Ticketmaster itself.
CNN reached out to the ticket sales company and venues hosting the Carlson tour, demanding to know “How can any decent person not only participate in enabling Carlson’s poisoning of the public discourse but also justify profiting off of his hateful rhetoric in the process?”
Critics swiftly slammed CNN for weaponizing its media platform to bully corporations into “canceling” Carlson and silencing his First Amendment rights.
They want to silence a prominent conservative voice from being able to reach audiences to censor their wrong-think.
Of course, CNN has stood by Darcy’s reporting.
A spokesperson denied any attempts at intimidation, stating CNN was simply seeking comment from companies involved in the Carlson tour “given the deep concerns” about his rhetoric “and the potential to influence millions.”
The feud reflects the heightened tensions around the mainstream media and liberal bias that has, in part, caused today’s hyper-polarized climate.
As establishment media outlets like CNN face declining public trust, such direct attacks on conservative media figures like Carlson, who was already fired from Fox News, only reinforce these accusations of bias.
