Tucker Carlson completely blown away in 46 second clip

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., gave an interview Saturday to talk show host Tucker Carlson, and he blew Carlson away with something unusual: His lapel pin.

Carlson asked, “What is that thing moving on your lapel?”

“It’s the debt,” Massie replied. “It’s my anxiety generator.”

“That’s actually making me really anxious,” Carlson agreed. “Is it real-time?”

“Yes,” Massie revealed. “It’s synced to Treasury. Gets the debt, to the penny, once a day. And then it looks at what the debt was a year ago, and it comes up with rolling average debt per second, and it interpolates on weekends and holidays. When the treasury’s not paying attention, I am.”

Massie used the chance to take a shot at Democratic Party leaders — to the delight of Carlson.

“I want my colleagues to know, and it’s great to wear this thing in an elevator, with, like, Adam Schiff. And he’s got nowhere to go,” Massie said. “I once caught a female congresswoman staring at it, and I had to tell her my eyes were up here. She asked me why I didn’t make a belt buckle out of it.”

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., has voted to increase the defense budget whenever given the opportunity.

Massie, a Liberty Caucus member, has a far more disciplined relationship with defense speaking. In the interview, Carlson asked him about his voting record, including his 15 votes against foreign aid to Israel.

Sen. Rand Paul, another Kentucky Republican, has also become known as a keen observer of debt and spending. Every year for “Festivus,” the senator airs his grievances by recounting, on video, the oddities in the federal budget. In 2022, he slammed Congress for spending $192,000 on espresso machines.

After seeing Massie’s debt clock, Paul may need to up his game this year.
