The stunning 34 felony convictions of former President Donald Trump in Manhattan on Thursday sent shockwaves across the United States — and it quickly energized the base of the Republican presidential candidate.
Trump’s presidential campaign raised a staggering $34.8 million immediately after being found guilty.
And the polling aggregate from FiveThirtyEight shows an Electoral College map that is very favorable to Trump at the time of his conviction.
According to polling averages, Trump is leading in almost every single battleground state.
He is poised to win in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Arizona. Biden is maintaining a narrow lead in Virginia and New Mexico.
If the election were to happen today, just one day after Trump was convicted of 34 felonies, the Electoral College map shows it would be a landslide.
Trump would win over Biden, 312 to 226.
270 Electoral College votes are needed to win the White House.
