Donald Trump faces judgment in Manhattan

Jurors in former President Donald Trump’s controversial hush money trial in Manhattan will begin deliberations today after receiving instructions from the judge.

All eyes will be on New York and whether a jury will find the 45th president guilty or not guilty — a explosive end to the first ever criminal case against a former American president.

Trump headed to the court after posting a social media attack against former lawyer Michael Cohen:

“THERE WAS NO CRIME, EXCEPT FOR THE BUM THAT GOT CAUGHT STEALING FROM ME!” Trump said on his TruthSocial app. “IN GOD WE TRUST!”

The jury in the trial is made of up 18 residents of Manhattan. The main jury reportedly includes seven men and five women, who will pass judgment. There are also alternate jurors, all six of whom have listened through the testimony but will not join in the jury deliberations unless a main juror is removed or drops out.

Although their names remain anonymous, we know the pool of 18 main and alternate jurors come from a pool of different background: There is a sales professional, a security engineer, a software engineer, more than one lawyer, an investment banker, a teacher, a speech therapist, and a retired investor.

There’s no way to know when a verdict will be reached, but some experts predict a decision could be made soon.

Which way that verdict goes is anyone’s guess.

Some media members predicted the prosecutor “lost” jurors, who reportedly seemed lost during their closing arguments. Others claim the evidence is “overwhelming” and that Trump will be found guilty.

Meanwhile, one legal expert told CNN there was “zero chance” Trump is convicted.

On CNN today, Defense attorney Randy Zeli said that he believes there is zero chance that Trump will be found guilty.

America will know the answer soon.
