Former President Donald Trump’s private Boeing 757, known as Trump Force One, was involved in a crash at Palm Beach International Airport on Sunday morning, shortly after Trump was returning from a campaign rally at the New Jersey shore.

There were no injuries reported from the accident, which was reportedly minor, and no word on whether Trump was on board at the time.

The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. local time as Trump’s plane was taxiing on the tarmac, escorted by the airport’s ground crew. During taxi, Trump Force One’s wing struck the rear elevator of a parked private aircraft. The crash was described as a “clip” from Trump’s wingtip to a smaller VistaJet.

The FAA confirmed that a privately owned Boeing 757 had landed safely at the airport but did not identify the plane as Trump Force One. However, The New York Post reported that the incident involved a plane with the registration number N757AF, which is linked to DJT Operations I LLC, a company associated with Trump.

“A privately owned Boeing 757 landed safely at West Palm Beach International Airport around 1:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, May 12,” an FAA spokesperson told the Post.

Hours before the incident, on Saturday, Trump held a massive campaign rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, in front of an estimated 85,000 supporters.

Joining him at the rally were North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and his wife, Kathryn, who flew into the event on Trump Force One. Burgum is reportedly a top front-runner in the race to be Trump’s running mate in the upcoming presidential election.

During his rally, Trump criticized various issues, including inflation, offshore windmills, electric cars, and the mainstream media. He also took aim at former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his presumptive opponent in the November general election, President Joe Biden, eliciting the largest crowd reaction when he referred to Biden as a “total moron.”

“You could take the 10 worst presidents in the history of our country, and add them up … and they haven’t done the damage to our country that this total moron has done,” Trump said to cheers.

The sight of Trump’s distinctive blue, red, white, and gold plane has become a familiar feature at his campaign stops, with the former president often delivering speeches from a stage set up in front of the aircraft.

Two days after the incident at Palm Beach International Airport, Trump appeared at his Manhattan criminal case, where he faces charges of falsifying his company’s records to conceal a $130,000 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
