Top Dem governor wants you to take illegal immigrants into your house

How would you like to bring a liberal policy mistake into your house? A Democrat with presidential aspirations would like to give you just that chance.  

Demonstrating how out of touch the Democratic Party has become, one of the Democrats’ top presidential prospects has introduced a program asking Americans to take illegal aliens into their houses… even as an illegal “migrant” murdered a woman on the streets of her state.  

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants to give Michiganders $500 a month to house illegal “migrants,” essentially turning their loved ones into roommates with the illegal aliens. She calls her plan the “Newcomer Rental Subsidy.”  

The Democrats want you to open up your spare room to a boarder from across the border.

“The Newcomer Rental Subsidy program provides Refugees and other Newcomer population-eligible households with rental assistance up to $500 per month for up to 12 months, with eligibility based on immigration status and household income,” declares the Office of Global Michigan’s website. 

If you read the fine print, you learn that $500 a month is actually the maximum anyone can receive: You could qualify for as little as $300 a month, for a year.  

You still have to pitch in, because the illegals deserve it, the Whitmer administration says.  

“Many refugees and other newcomers face critical housing challenges, and this program will increase access to better and more affordable housing opportunities,” the office says.  

Whitmer promises “rapid social integration to refugees and other newcomer populations to Michigan.”

The program applies not only to legal asylees, but also to those with pending applications for asylum. Four years ago, asylum seekers would have needed to wait in Mexico. Now, they can settle in a Michigan home and disappear into the nation before their court dates.

That could be a dangerous proposition for the Midwestern state: There are 91,000 illegal aliens in Michigan, according to an estimate from the Migration Policy Institute—including 6,000 from nations that speak Chinese. 

Another 3,000 illegal aliens speak Arabic in Michigan, the state with the nation’s largest concentration of Muslim residents.

What do Michiganders think of this program? Just ask Ruby Garcia, whose lifeless body was found with a bullet wound in Grand Rapids on US-131 late Friday night.

The accused gunman has been identified as 25-year-old Brandon Ortiz-Vite, an illegal immigrant from Puebla, Mexico.  

Police say the alleged murderer, who killed Garcia in a carjacking, had already been deported in 2020. 

“Ruby Garcia’s life was tragically cut short because of Joe Biden’s open border policies,” said Tudor Dixon, the conservative Republican who unsuccessfully ran against Whitmer in the last election. “Let’s remember Gretchen Whitmer is a campaign co-chair for Joe Biden. Therefore, his policies are also her policies.” 

As of the time Dixon recorded that video, Gov. Whitmer hadn’t even said the victim’s name out loud. “Whitmer has instead been making videos about her favorite subject: abortion,” said Dixon. “She knows Democrats are losing Michigan.”  

Whitmer is far from the only Democrat to suggest private citizens should clean up the problems created when the Biden administration’s weak policies at the southern border turned every city into a border town. 

New York City Mayor Eric Adams rolled out a plan to let illegals burrow into the five boroughs last June. 

Adams said he had already paid $125 a night to churches that will house illegals—and he planned to “move to private residents.”

Adams even said New Yorkers might want to take in an illegal because of the economic woes of Biden’s America.

“There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges,” Adams admitted. “They have spare rooms.”  

“We can take that $4.2 billion, $4.3 maybe now that we potentially have to spend and we can put it back in the pockets of everyday New Yorkers, everyday houses of worship, instead of putting in the pockets of corporations,” Adams said.  

Corporations already get a boost from illegal aliens, who compete in the workforce with native-born Americans and legal immigrants.

Then there’s Massachusetts, where Democratic Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll begged last August, “If you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. Safe housing and shelter is our most pressing need.”

These are not fringe figures in the party. Joe Biden appears to have considered Gretchen Whitmer as his running mate. He met with her in Delaware just before eliminating her in favor of Kamala Harris.

Whitmer’s tall order isn’t out of the mainstream for the Democratic Party. But it’s out of the mainstream with Americans, who already have the consequences of failed liberal policies in their homes.

Their kitchens are bare, because Bidenflation has raised the cost of groceries and federal bureaucrats have targeted their gas stoves.

Their gas tanks are half-full, because gasoline prices have soared and Biden plans a mandate to replace gas-powered cars with electric vehicles (EVs).  

Their daughters sit on the couch for hours, confused by the transgender propaganda blaring out of TikTok with the blessing of the Biden administration. Their sons either hide in their bedrooms or play video games, told by Critical Race Theory that either they’re either the greatest oppressors in human history or they’re the oppressed who can’t succeed in America, no matter what they do.  

They can’t even escape: Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says the road in front of their house is racist and has to be torn up.  

They know every city is a border town. Now, Democrats ask them to bring the “wretched refuse” to surf on their couches.  

You can kick them out of their cushy public housing in the upcoming election—or they can kick you out of your home.
