Former President Donald Trump is effectively facing a death sentence, warned his son Donald Trump, Jr. in an appearance on Newsmax.
Democrats want to imprison Trump for a “thousand years” or give him “the death penalty,” his son warned.
Newsmax star Eric Bolling asked Trump, Jr. if he’d been ordered to testify in the New York civil fraud case during the interview Monday.
“Yeah, I’m going in, I believe, on Wednesday. So you know, we get to continue yet another sham,” Trump, Jr. said.
“We’ve seen the bias, we’ve seen Michael Cohen lie under oath, literally get caught, literally perjured himself in front of… you know, admitted perjury beyond what he already went to prison for,” he continued.
“It shows you what happens when you’re in a kangaroo court, Eric,” Trump, Jr. said. “It doesn’t matter what the rules are, it doesn’t matter what the Constitution says, it doesn’t matter what general practices and business would be. It doesn’t matter.”
“They have a narrative,” he said. “They have an end goal, and they’ll do do whatever it takes to get there.”
The mainstream media “want to throw Trump in jail for a thousand years and/or the death penalty,” Trump, Jr. concluded. “Truly sick stuff, but this is why we fight.”
The former president is facing numerous legal fights as he continues to campaign for a return to the White House.
Trump is facing a total of 91 felony counts in four criminal cases in Washington, New York, Florida, and Georgia. If convicted, it would effectively be a life sentence for the 77-year-old Republican Party leader.
Special counsel Jack Smith has been leading two federal probes related to Trump, both of which have resulted in charges against the former president. Trump is also charged alongside 18 other people in Georgia, and his business is under threat in a civil case in New York.
