Joe Biden gets very bad news from this poll (It’s not about the election)

President Joe Biden has seen lackluster polling ahead of the election and downright abysmal polling with respect to his approval rating.

However, Biden got some bad news in another department, too. He’s widely believed to have been involved in his son’s business dealings under federal investigation, a new poll suggested Thursday.

Between Aug. 25 and 31, pollsters at CNN and SSRS randomly sampled 1,503 adults, and they estimated the margin of error at 3.5 percent. If the poll is to be believed, then it spells trouble for the president’s public image.

According to the poll, 61 percent of American adults think that Biden “did have some involvement in Hunter Biden’s business dealings.”

That includes a majority of people in every racial group, every age group, and every income group.

In other words, Biden has lost the trust of most Americans.

The pollsters wrote Thursday —

A majority, 61%, say they think that Biden had at least some involvement in Hunter Biden’s business dealings, with 42% saying they think he acted illegally, and 18% saying that his actions were unethical but not illegal. Another 38% say they don’t believe Joe Biden had any involvement in his son’s business dealings during his vice presidency. Just 1% believe Biden was involved, but did not do anything wrong.

58 percent held an unfavorable opinion of Biden. That’s a record number, the highest unfavorability rating since the start of the poll in 2008.

By comparison, only 56 percent held an unfavorable opinion of former President Donald Trump.

The poll also found Biden with an approval rating of 39 percent, down seven points from December and up only one point from his record low in summer 2022.

However, Biden is still trusted by his base.

Only 30 percent of Democrats and liberal independents think that Biden was involved in his son’s businesses. That number was even lower for Democrats over 50.
