Donald Trump to have a mugshot taken, sheriff says…

On Tuesday, Former President Donald Trump was indicted for the third time and was expected to surrender for arrest at 4:00 p.m. Eastern.

Meanwhile, prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, are expected to pursue their own charges in the coming weeks.

And during his arrest, Georgia authorities said they would take a mugshot of Trump — something other jurisdictions have declined to do.

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said he would hold the former president to the same standards as any other defendant.

“Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status,” Labat told local media. “We’ll have a mugshot ready for you.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fanni Willis has said that she’ll announce her charging decision by September 1.

A Manhattan grand jury in March indicted Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up hush-money payments to a porn actress during the 2016 presidential election. Federal grand juries have issued two other indictments, with one related to conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and another related to the classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

In each of these three cases, the authorities declined to take a mugshot… although they took his fingerprints.

Trump remains the clear frontrunner in the GOP’s primaries for next year’s presidential election. The former president’s campaign has been selling T-shirts with fictional mugshots on them.

“For some, being the subject of a criminal investigation can, à la Rumpelstiltskin, be turned into golden political capital, making it seem more providential than problematic,” Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney wrote Monday.

The judge made the comment in a ruling preventing Trump from challenging a hypothetical indictment.

Take a look —

NEW: Donald Trump’s campaign team is working on cashing in on his indictment, sending out multiple fundraising emails advertising a Trump mugshot t-shirt with the words “NOT GUILTY” on it.

The shirt comes “FREE” if you pay them $47 or more.
