Fox News star Sean Hannity has found a way to turn around his ratings in a huge deal with former President Donald Trump’s 2024 Republican presidential campaign.
Fox News Channel’s primetime lineup has seen its viewership plummet since the sudden firing of former star Tucker Carlson in April.
Hannity’s ratings are reportedly down by about 40 percent among advertisers’ favorite demographic, viewers between the ages of 25 and 54.
To right the ship, Hannity has turned to Trump and made a deal. Trump will join the host for a 2024 Republican presidential campaign town hall event.
Trump’s town halls are a known television ratings bonanza. He scored over three million viewers on competitor CNN last week, and will likely surpass that Fox News.
The event will be pre-taped on the afternoon of June 1 at the Westside Conservative Club in Urbandaleand, Iowa and will be replayed that night on Hannity’s primetime show.
The Republican primary has become a crowded field in recent weeks. Trump is running against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, former Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, former Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, and more.
Hannity has previously hosted Trump town hall events in June 2021, June 2020, and September 2016.
