Jill Biden’s secret mirror messages to Joe raise eyebrows

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden gave a speech for Women’s History Month, and for the occasion he discussed his 45-year marriage to First Lady Jill Biden.

Naturally, he embarrassed his wife with a story about her… and her secret mirror messages.

“Jill puts messages on my mirror while I’m shaving,” Biden claimed. “One that was put in about a year ago was, ‘Stop trying to make me love you.'”

Huh?

Some observers took to Twitter to express their incredulity.

“I don’t think I would be telling that story,” one person said.

Another person asked, “WTH [What the hell] does that mean?”

One person used the opportunity to joke about Biden’s clumsiness. “Other notes she leaves him: … Don’t ad-lib, READ THE TELE PROMPTER Stop running up the stairs for Air Force One,” he said.

The first lady has previously discussed passive-aggressive communication between her and her husband. She developed some weird habits while serving as the second lady.

In a 2022 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the first lady discussed her habit of arguing with her husband over text, rather than arguing in front of the Secret Service. She called the habit “fexting,” a mix of the words “fight” and “texting.”

Jill Biden remains the only person ever to work a paying job while serving as second lady. For years, she has taught English at Northern Virginia Community College.

After some time off, she returned to her paying job in 2021 while also serving as first lady, becoming history’s only first lady ever to do so.

For this, Joe referred to his wife as “the first full-time lady.”

More specifically, he said, “Jill, the first lady, the first full-time lady, the first lady who works full time in addition to being the first lady.”
